Many people with weight problems have other health situations that you may not be aware of which allow them to park in spaces for the disabled. There are also insensitive people of any size who just take those spaces even though they don't need them.

You can park in the handicapped space if you have a permit sticker for it. It doesnt matter if you are fat or thin. It depends on whether you are handicapped.

you dont just get a permit for being fat. there must be some medical condition which makes you eligible. how do you know that these people do not have some sort of medical condition? my friend is what people consider obese, but she has a major heart problem which means she is unable to do even the simplest exercises (which makes her gain more weight). people who dont know her just think she is fat - but she cant help it. she has a personal trainer and does as much exercise as she is able, but that does not help her to lose weight. grow up and complain about something that is really important in life.

If they have a handicapped sticker/permit than they can part in handicapped spaces. Their weight might contribute to their health problems but that doesn't mean they aren't eligible for handicapped parking spaces. Those of us who can walk freely should be thankful for our abilities.
