I have been told that Temple of Set is not Satanism like the Church of Church of Satan founded by Anton Le Vey. I know there was some kind of schism between these two organizations. Does anyone know the philosophical differences between Temple of Set and Church of Satan? They seem the same to me.

confessor, and that her dying wish was that they be kept private? According to church law, "the sacramental seal is inviolable; therefore it is absolutely forbidden for a confessor to betray in any way a penitent in words or in manner and for any reason." Its interesting that the book's subtitle is:The PRIVATE writings of the Saint of Calcutta. My question:why wasn't Teresa's request honored, and for what possible reason could the Vatican have allowed the breaking of a centuries old church law? Your thoughtful answers will be appreciated.

Is it against the religious code to go to seances or haunted places and try and communicate with spirits? Or to consult mediums etc about the future and establish links with loved ones passed over?

And did Satan merely tell Eve the truth? That she would not die? Yea Yea I know you are going to say "her soul" rather than her physical body. But if someone told you DONT EAT THAT MEAT or you will immediately die. Are you thinking of your physical body or of your eternal soul? Was this some kind of trick God played on the couple? Because their physical bodies did NOT die immediately and their eyes WERE opened....just as Satan told them......so who is the liar?

both batteries fell out. I could only find one, so I just put one back in there and gave it back to her. I was planning to tell her at the end of class about the battery, except I forgot. Now she starts off class today saying something along the lines of 'apparently one of you all has stolen one of the batteries, and I hope whoever stole it comes forward and gives it to me'. I didn't say anything the whole class about it and she cleary seems annoyed with the situation-what should I do?

Do you really think that the only ones who feel anything are NonMuslims who are American? Doesn't matter who you are or where you were born, if you are human and have a soul, the suffering of others hurts you. Along with those who were hurting on 9-11 who were not Muslim, so were Muslims. We all did. When will you let go of your hatred and accept the compassion that those of us on here are trying to show? It doesn't matter who you are, when a loved one dies, you are affected.

I thank American Muslimah for the custom avatar picture she created as a memorial to the victims. Whatever your religion, you have the compassion of people who honestly care about you. If you were in danger and I could stop it, knowing very well I could die in saving you, I would gladly do it. Muslims and NonMuslims alike would, if they had any ounce of humanity in them.

Are you able to understand what I am trying to say?

Honestly, it hurts no one but the people doing it. In other countries it's regulated, taxed, and the girls have to test clean once a month or they can't work. In the US, it's only legal in some parts of Nevada.

--It doesn't ruin families-- the man that goes to a prostitute will cheat on his wife anyway and it's him that ruins the family, not the act. Either way he will find a way to hurt the family.

--It can be taxed and the gov't would make money.

--Morality is indivuidual-- what you don't like may be something that someone else doesn't find wrong.

--Regulating it would take out most of the risk, and if someone wants to risk themselves isn't that their business alone anyway?

So why is it illegal? Is there some real reason, or is it just because the "immorality" of it?

If God hurled Satan to earth as his punsihment for his attempted mutiny BERFORE human existance, why then did he create humans to exist in Satans world? And why would He allow Satan into the garden, and why would He tempt the couple by planting an untouchable tree in their midst? I do not set out a dish full of candy in front of my child and leave the room telling him not to touch it and if they do they will get a spanking and REALLY expect them to NOT touch it.
Is it possible that humans are merely an experimental "bet" if you will between the opposing factions of good and evil? How can there be a "war" in heaven if the outcome is predetermined? Is it redundant or is there a possibility that good may NOT triumph over evil. How can there be a "war" if God has absolute control over EVERYTHING? Why give Satan ANY power what so ever?? Why did God not simply destroy Satan and his followers instead of allowing them to hurt his beloved human creations?

In other words, let's say I get to Heaven and see two people, one of which was never born and one which lived to be 100. Will I be able to tell the difference? Is there a difference? If not, then why send anyone to Earth since there is no purpose. If so, then why do some people not need Earth? All is perfect in Heaven so what difference does it make if you lived or not?

In books and shows I have noticed that if a women cheats, then her man is inspected to forgive her. If a man cheats, then the women is inspected to leave the jerk.. This is only one example of the double standard. I'm sure you know more. Why can't we just quit living like that? ;) I'm mostly just rambling.....(I am not a guy)

In early Mexican and South American History, there is a story of "The Great Law Giver" He is decribed as a White man, of "curious" abilities and he decended from the sky and gave the people the law.

This story is told in stone, on the walls of the Mayan Pyramids in Guatamala. (A PROVEN ARCHEOLOGICAL FACT Discovered more than 60 years after the Book of Mormon was published.)

It is noted from Montezuma himself, that his people were waiting for Quezaquatal to return (as he said he would)

Unfortunately the white man they welcomed in with open arms was "Cortez".

If the Book of Mormon is false and you believe Jesus never visited the America's, then you must know who this Quezaquatal is. I would love to hear your explainations.

Aren't you charging for good news, which Paul said is really no good news at all, but instead using godliness as a means for financial gain?

Isn't it obvious already that Paul refused to accept gold or silver, to show us the example of giving good news for free?

Didn't Jesus say, freely you received now freely give?

It's ironic how Paul chose to be a tentmaker in order to not charge people for the good news, but all we have today are the same people in Paul's day who were out peddling good news for financial gain.

Are you guilty of handing over money for good news of Christ or worse yet, taking money to spread it?
