Have you come to a place in your spirital life that you know that if you'd die today that you would go to Heaven? if not, where do you think you're going to go?
~ I know that I will be in Heaven with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ because his blood has washed me clean of the sin I've committed.

Mormons believe that all souls reside in the spirit world before they are sent to earth. Do other sects also believe that, or do they believe that a new soul is created every time a baby is conceived?

Quite frankly, I am having a hard time seeing a reason to do these things. Women never seem to appreciate having a door opened for them or a guy doing anything nice for them. They usually just shrug it off and then proceed to lump me in the same category with the a$$hole men (who never seem to be lacking female attention).

So am I justified in these feelings, or am I just feeling crabby and disgruntled for no real reason?

Other southern states may be even more moronic, but they don't impart the electoral votes to jack everything up the way Texas does.

How do you see yourself overall especially INTERNALLY? For example--progressions you've made, personal realizations over the last several years [and even present frustrations], as well as futuristic goals?
And do you view or feel the world 'is on your side'? Does it seem easier now or more challenging and why?
Thank-you :-)

The actual original proclamation of Armageddon was suppose to be a judgement that Religion should be removed from the earth.. No Religion... but Religion fought back so hard that it condemned the human race to extinction....

So what could have gone so terribly wrong?

I know that christians are liars and have known for some time that they are the ones who follow the father of the lie,,, the ones who are called deceived.... They do not understand that bible.. anyone reading it doesn't get ot understand until it's time.... but why do they continue to be the only fools on the planet who insist they know when it's not possible for them to know...

some truth is just about to come out and it will never be delivered by christianity.... because the christians have always been the first to bury it, or twist it into lies...

I am not suicidal but many on Yahoo! answers say they are. Is it even possible in your opinion to stop existing in any way.

I've noticed my Christian associates tend to pity and look down on non-Christians as "ignorant" or "unsaved" or whatever you want to call it, they place themselves above as somehow enlightened. Then on the other hand, my non-Christain associates think of Christains as ignorant, brainwashed, gullible, what have you. They are much more forward about it.

this is a message that I have been given so many times since joining here

every so often I post a question to try and unite people
mostly it gets a great reception and is wonderful to see
but sure enough there are always some who tell me that I am wasting my time
in fact some have even accused me of working for Satan .... as he is the one who will try to unite people

in the recent question I posted trying to unite people

I had someone say
" This is an incredibly dangerous assumption and shows no knowledge of spiritual things. There is a battle between good and evil that will not be reconciled until the return of Christ. "

why ?
what if the only people that is stopping peace happening is people waiting on someone to come and bring it ?

I don't think it's necessarily how it's depicted in the move Exorcist or the similar.

Please don't bother to post dysfunctional or dumb answers. Thanks.

We hear a lot of loaded language here in R&S, and everyone here is guilty of spinning arguments to some extent. Can you do the same in reverse? Can you play devil's advocate to yourself?

My own spin: My worldview is so small that I can't believe in
anything without serious evidence. I miss out on all of the most beautiful things in life because I can't stop myself from overanalyzing every little thing for "proof". On top of that, I'm so full of myself that I don't think anyone else is smart enough to take their word for it!

Your turn. Do your damndest!

We stand before a loving God, our Father. Every Father wants their child to live a long, healthy and prosperous life. And so, like any good father, He is offering us another year. The question is whether we are interested. The year is on offer, but what are we going to do with it? Are we living for something that matters? Or are we concerned about our next lollipop? Are we striving to be great, or meandering towards mediocrity?

Rosh Hashana is there to lift our sights, to remind us to dream. And to dream of great things --peace, love, justice... Why bother dreaming of anything less? By dreaming grandiose dreams, we remind ourselves that life really does matter. This is not just another year of drudgery. It is a year in which we can accomplish great things. We remind ourselves that we really do want another year, another opportunity to strive towards making a difference.
