A dressed up version of hogwash. But don't take that to mean that I have something against any particular religion. I don't feel that any in existence has done anything to improve the Human Condition. Religion is for people who are frightened by the facts and conditions of nature.

I see the Bible as completely nothing. I once read it for the following reasons:
1) For fun
2) To understand what I believed in
3) Because I heard it will be good for my spirituality
4) To have an experience of reading all the Bible.
It was not very boring but mostly pointless. I knew many of these stories form school and Sunday school. Many of them are also repeated at every Gospel.
I didn't either believe in what it says or not.
The best thing about the Bible is that you learn things about christianism that you wouldn't learn in any other conditions
I don't care much about the Bible
I once was religious, now I 'm not

I see the Bible as a book that was inspired by and partially written by men in history. It's supposed to be sort of a manual on how to live your life. I believe in God, but if it meant I had to read the Bible and follow everything it says, I'd probably be kicked out of most churches. I know right from wrong and I have my own personal relationship with God. I dont think God belongs to or ascribes to any one religion. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and so am I.

the bible is huge, so the only way to take it all in is in small chunks. get yourself a good "study bible". this gives an introduction before each book of the bible. reading this helps to see when it was written, the author, who he was talking to when he or she wrote it. this will help you understand what is written in the book. also in study bibles are notes at bottom of each page. read the notes and you will understand even more. as an added tool i use the internet to help. say i'm reading about judah, israel, & egypt i have no idea where these are in relation to each other so i do a yahoo search for something like: "map of israel" or "where is judah?", or "what is the definition of _ _ _" or "who is beelzebub?" etc. and this gives you an answer pretty quick. u can print some of the maps or materials to refer to while you read. there are also some websites like blueletterbible.com & bible gateway.com where you can look things up & see what the same verse says in different bible versions, and some even show you what the original greek, hebrew or aramaic writing looked like. pretty amazing.

so to answer your question what i see the bible as, i see it as truth. a lot of people will say it is words just written by men. but the words were inspired by god and the men were used as instruments to record them. it is not a coincidence that so much was written about this man called jesus, and by so many different people in different periods of time. and that things were written well before events happened which proved it wasn't a coincidence. some of these men, daniel for instance, was writing at god's command and he told god he did not even understand what he was writing. god said the time was not for now so not to worry about it. additionally, so much history has been unearthed in that part of the country today that is coinciding with what's been written in a lot of the bible stories. but i think most important of all is knowing that the bible is not something that must be proven by science - it is a choice. a decision we make whether to believe or not. this is how i see the bible and i hope it answers your question.

I believe the Bible is the word of God. Everything that is written in it is there for a reason, even though some of the reasons may be obscure. I believe that is was written in a way that makes us need to pray and meditate in order to understand it. Understanding the Bible is also easier if we study with others, which is also something God wants us to do. It's not supposed to be easy, but it is supposed to be done.

I see my bible as a guide line to what God expects of me. It takes time and patience to take it in. You can not take in all of the word at the same time. You must study it the same as if you were in school. This is how you take in the knowledge and wisdom of the Word of God. When you practice studying along with praying God will begin to speak to you and he will start to reveal Himself to you. This is when the true knowledge begins to come forth and show up in your life. I hope I have been of help to you.

It is a book. It is the greatest book ever written. It is a history of man and God. Scientists say they can prove it wrong. I haven't seen it done yet. One said that Moses' escape was no miracle because he crossed the dead sea instead of the red sea, and the dead sea was only ankle deep water. If he is right, then how much bigger is the miracle that drowned Pharaoh's entire army in ankle deep water. That's my story and I'm stickin to it.

Besides, I would rather spend my life believing in Heaven and Hell and be disappointed to find out there is no such thing when I die, than to believe there is no such thing and die to find out there is. Think that over.

The Bible is ancient mans understanding of that which cannot be understood. It is a collection of metaphorical stories that help to illuminate the Divine and help to teach a person how to live.
To me it is not to be taken as literal truth, as a person can never understand God, for God is beyond comprehension. So God must be understood through metaphors and allusions...
