There is no demonic possession. There are no demons. There are no gods, angels, ghosts, or bogeymen either.
That's all just part of religious superstition, and one of the more sad parts, too. It has prevented countless people who have had real mental problems from getting proper help, and it has encouraged others to buy into this nonsense.
This is yet another way that religion harms society.

I'm not sure about "demonic" possession. And I don't wanna know. I know there is spirit possession and spirit communicatioin. Some are good and some are bad..to the point of evil The thing is...sometimes they seem good...but they're only tricking you. I do know that a lot of people have learned how to "astral travel". I don't know if they can get into people's bodies or not. I think maybe they can. And a lot of people are "psychic"...some just get connected psychically to others' minds. So you never really know what's good and what's bad. Of course , if it's acting in a bad way..you know it's bad..but what I mean is that some of the things that seem good...aren't. I think it's just best to stay away from all of it. Just do the best you can as a human...and beg forgiveness for what you do wrong.
I do understand that some people have mental problems that cause them to hallucinate...also people doing drugs...or being drugged hallucinate. That's not the same. I hate to see people who are "possessed" or being used by spirits..put on drugs. And I hate to see people with true mental illnesses being put through exorcisms. Wish psychiatrists and spiritual people (church etc) would work together to find the answers.

Supernatural strength, knowledge of what is hidden (including foreign languages never studied and the secret sins of others), aversion to holy things, there are still other signs but these are the main ones.
Psychological disorders are a different thing.
Demonic possessions do occur but among the baptized it's quite rare.

let's see, someone who is usually not a cusser suddenly swearing a lot and doing erratic things they never would have done, getting wounds on them that have no explanation, seemingly making movements they did not want to make as if they were having a seizure when they normally wouldn't. Those are a few signals that you at least need to check their mental or physical health to rule out those possibilities as being the cause.

I wonder if you seriously expect there to be a medical diagnosis for possession.
Seriously, though, there's no such thing. There's never been a documented case in medical history.
