Gods were invented by man, in a desperate attempt to explain what was once unexplainable... things like the sun, moon, and stars... day and night... thunder and lightening... sickness and death... etc... and to answer questions that were once unanswerable... vital, profound, important questions like "Daddy... what holds the sky up?"
For all of these questions, the delusion "God did it" (the ILLUSION of knowledge) has been replaced by REAL knowledge... and as a result, this 'god' has been reduced from an all-powerful supernatural being to a 'God of the Gaps'... an imaginary cockroach-like creature that scurries from crack-to-crevice, looking for the remaining patches of darkness and shadow in mankind's '"knowledge-base", so as to cower and hide from the glaring light of knowledge and understanding.
The fact that people continue to cling to this pitiable, delusional 'god' idea is a pathetic disgrace, to say the least... and I am inclined to add 'tragic' to that, as well... a testament to the enduring power of gullibility, irrationality, willful ignorance, self-delusion, intellectual dishonesty, hypocrisy and drooling stupidity.
Yet today, we find stalwart defenders of these insane delusions fighting a desperate battle to stave of knowledge and understanding, trying to shield the dark cracks and crevices of ignorance from the light of reason... crying "No... no... that ain't so... God did it... God did it."
Pfffttt...

What i find humourous is the fact everyone on this Earth seems to think everyone else is igorant it's not about faith people even believe their parents are ignorant, yes in some things they may be, ie internet my mum is completely oblivious!
But what I think everyone should consider is how people react in regards to this, all men are equal in teh eyes of God etc and we all made from the same stuff essentially as long as no person thinks higher then any other person, we'd all be better off, rather then belittling another perhaps open up and if people wish to learn give them the necessary guidance in order for them to become more enlightened?

After reading this, I feel sorry. I really feel sorry. I am a christian and I think that we have a lot to be sorry for. I'm sorry that christians have made you feel pitied or looked down on. That is not what we are supposed to do as christians and we do fail. I do not think that you are an ignorant person. I think you are a unique person created in the image of God. I'm sorry that you have had a bad experience with a group of christians. I hope you come into relationships with christians who are willing to love you for the mere reason that God does.

The world has many ignorant people in it. YOU, however, are intelligent. If you remain a person with good common sense, then you know that only those who are sincere and follow God's Will, are the ones who can be saved. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

not really funny, christians don't think they are better or more enlightened, it's just that we believe that we are promised the entrance to heaven, and the bible tells us that anyone that hasn't made the steps necessary to achieve what other believers have, is doomed to an eternity of hell. so when people don't take us serious, we feel that they are lost in a sense, because we truly believe that they are missing out on something that we have, and all we want is for everyone to take part in gods gift.so, it may seem that we are gloating or that we are smarter, but in reality we just want to share what we know with the world, we don't want to see anyone perish. if you knew something that could save someones life from eternal agony, wouldn't you feel persuaded to at least let them in on what you know.

True. When you get comfortable in your Christianity and forget that you are a Christian through God's grace, the devil attacks you with your pride. Grace and an honest view of a Christian's sin should make us realise how small and helpless and hopeless we are.

Well first off Christians aren't above anyone. And you should tell thos associates so...it might make them mad but its true.
And if you look at any two groups of people forced toghter you'll find that its the same way.

Did you know that "Above" and "Below" are evolutionarily hardwired into our evaluative little skulls, just because over time the big guys have prevailed.
Nasty uh?
Perhaps, anyway.
But if so, if God is really the highest, then Jesus is therfore the biggest ape of us all.

Yes, it's ironically funny. I believe that God speaks to us in many ways. This includes through other religions and belief systems.
I don't view non-Christians as not being saved, inferior, or otherwise. I view their religion and/or beliefs as a source of knowledge. Their opinions about it only increases my understanding of other belief systems.
I incorporate what the spirit of truth shows me is correct. There is not one correct religion, but all have wisdom to impart knowledge to my soul.

You're saying 2 crowds in a mud pit are slinging it at each other and 1 crowd should be commended because they strike more often?
