I asked if anyone else thought the hijab made women look hot (Prolly a poor choice of words) meaning I think it looks very pretty on them, and was told repeatedly that its intent was to make them not look hot... I understand modesty but... isnt there a difference between looking attractive and being modest?

Also...Wala... if you are out there, I apologize, didnt mean to come off overly harsh.

Do you think some day computers will ask the age old question did Humans create us ?
Some think computers will eventually with androids and robots enslave people till they out grow their usefullness but will the computers believe they evolved through self design or were created by the rumored long forgotten human. this not meant as an analogy to the supernatural but only a curious thought in the natural world thousands of years from now.

i lean towards the christian point of view in terms of morality, such as:
loving one another, not commiting adultery, honoring you parents, not to envy other people's stuff,

surely atheists can accept these beliefs too. I just wanted to know some scientific evidence that supports atheism.

do we have a boring life? im just saying, there is other stuff i could be and should be doing besides asking crazy questions. i think i honestly need to be praying bout this addiction. serious side i use to keep my nose in the bible, but now it seems as if this gets more of my time then my bible. the question is, do you have a boring life too?

I just asked a question =in Pets and Animals and I got ***** for my a female dog.. A bit OTT dont u think?...I just used other words that can be used as profanity...eg the female dog word B++++H didnt get thru yet one can say WHORE...which I find most offensive. When I was little my grandmother and me used to make shrunken head out of apples. I know we used to peel the apple but I forget what we did to make them "head". Does anyone remember doing this and if so could you describe how? I thought it'd be fun to do next month for Halloween.

My son's grandma took a bunch of kids all under the age of 7 to see this movie. The reason for this is because her youngest son who has a disability throws fits if he doesn't get what he wants and is very violent but I still think that was irresponsible on her part. Now I'm thinking twice about leaving her grandson with her because I'm scared he'll be exposed to that crap. People wonder why there is so much violence in this world, it seems like some parents just don't care enough about there own children to shield them from stuff like that.

Swami Vivekananda & Ramakrishna Mission follow Patanjali Rajayoga. Patanjali (240 BC) created Yogasutra having about 250 sutras and started the sankhya system. When analysed word by word, the yogasutra is seen as an adoptation of Buddhas sutras from Tipitika(sutta). This was researched by S.N. Tandon in his book "A Reappraisal of Patanjali's Yogasutra in light of Buddha's Teaching" from Vippassana Research Institute.
Patanjali(240 BC) was the chief priest of hindu king Pushya mitra sunga who ordered killing of Buddhist and Jain monks @ 100 gold coins for every severed head. It seems that Patanjali was concerned about saving this great path of nirvana, therefore he tried to save it by adopting it from pali to sanskrit.
Yogasutra teaching is about nirodha( Yoga citta vritti nirodha v.2) similar to the path of Buddha which is nirodha of body, emotions, thoughts, desires and samanskaras
