I believe that being gay is actually something you are born with......I used to go to primary school with this boy and he was thought of as gay. He was very feminine and carried himself in a very stereotypical 'gay' way.

I met him recently and he is gay, he has a life partner and everything.

Do you believe you are born gay?

I have absolutely no judgment here btw - thought it was an interesting question.

I recently started college, and I was wondering, if during a lecture a student really has to use the bathroom, what's the proper way to go about it?

Should that person wait, or ask the professor if they could go? Or should they just gather their belongings and leave without saying anything?

I noticed when my kids were little that some of their friends didnt like to be outside.

Now with the little guy and his even littler cousin you have to almost drag them outside. They want to spend all their time indoors parked in front of the TV or computer.

I remember when we were kids and our parents were yelling at us to come home to bed, and we were yelling "just a few more minutes".

The LAST thing we wanted to do was go indoors and quit playing outside - we wanted to sleep outside if our parents would let us, on the porch, in a tent, or where ever, just under th stars, with a sleeping bag.

I swear I dont know whats wrong with kids these days. So many of them look so unhealthy too, as if they've never SEEN sunshine and never breathed fresh air.

I am totally paranoid about looking respectable but not overdressed for job interviews.

I am going for science jobs, but i guess you could say i dress like an artist... weird. I don't try to look weird (i'm not some punk teenager) it just comes naturally. So i find it hard to dress appropriately when i need to.

I am not going well in interviews and I asked one interviewer for general feedback after i didn't get the job? among my questions i asked if my personal presentation was ok and she said it was fine, was she just being tactfull? (She poninted out a few other things i could work on, and she explained that there was another applicant that was much more qualified.)

I normally look somewhere between a goth, a feminine japanees punk, and a butch dyke, but no jewlery or make up, hard to describe really. I try to neaten up for job interviews, i'm just not sure if i "scrub up well".

Do you think i do "scrub up" alright?
Or was the interview lady just being tactful?

Some of the most racist people I have met in my life were racist white Christians. I definitely think that white Christians are more racist than whites of other faiths. I don't know why that is, but it is absolutely true.

I am learning that I am not " all that" and that I am just like everyone else.

God is allowing me to go through some heavy things right now to teach me patience and compassion.

The things that I critized and judged people for I am now going through these things and have to ask for help something I thought I would never do.

My question is through this rough patch in my family and mines life how can I be an effective witness and let my light shine?
What are ways I can help others even going through the thick of the trials?

Then isn't there a good possibility that our own beliefs may be wrong?

If you call yourself a believer of anything, you should be accepting the fact that you may be wrong. Because if you knew for sure you were right, calling yourself a believer would be pointless.

Even in high school and college...I can't seem to get more than a high B. I never liked science much anyway....lol.

I took environmental science and chemistry in high school too...and though I made a high B in the first...I made a C in chemistry cause I never paid attention in the beginning and got too far behind to catch up. bah.

I still have a VERY strong belief in God and Jesus, but my belief is based on personal experience and has NOTHING to do with what men have interpreted or written in flawed texts such as the bible. Does anyone else believe in God/Jesus but not in the way organized religion has made us believe?

Something happened today that got me extremely depressed. As some of u know, i went to my orientation today. Everything went well till they found out i had no I.D. They didnt give me another day to get one though, they basicly said get out. So im extremely depressed, im not even up for making jokes today. Can u help cheer me up? They say laughter is the best medicine, so please make me laugh.

P.S. I thank all those who gave me advise for my first job, i may not need it anymore, but it definatly helped me. Thanks.

Is it right to affect someone's life adversely if that person is not hurting you or anyone else with their actions? If someone hurts no one but themselves, wouldn't it be immoral to interfere in their lives to make them abide by your belief system?

My boss' boss has scheduled a meeting to find out who's fault it is that a project is way behind. In truth it's mainly the boss' boss fault. Usually we just let him rave but I'm of a mind to, as calmly as possible, let him know it's his fault. Should I? I doubt I'd be fired but it would be a first for telling this guy he's wrong.

I am in college, and I am 26 and it seems like they act suspicious when you ask them out, and like it's a sin or something. What do you think, and has anyone been in this situation before? Could age be a factor with them? If I like someone I wold ask them out as long as they are 18. Is that bad????

lol. I've observed this before and it's horrible to think that I want to flirt with them when they knock instead of being 'educated.' So...I just pretend not to be home. Is it so people will have a harder time refusing them? lol. I feel silly tonight.

one night in early august, i took my friends out on my boat. as fate would have it, my camera got very wet and shorted out. one girl said "oooh damn! i want all those pictures from tonight!" and took my memory card, which still worked. weeks went by and i didn't see her much, but assumed she was keeping track of my $60 memory card. the other night i was like "oooh can i have my memory card back?" and she said "wow, i have no idea where that is". then i saw her later on again and she was like "i'm so sorrrryyy, it's around my house somewhere. it's not exactly easy to find". now what? i sorta need it back!

I was raised in the south. I have several friends that are married to another race. I love them.
I also have more friends from another race than my own. I love them also...

But, I still would not be happy if a member of my family did the same.
I am so confused.. How can I love everyone and get along with everyone but, still be upset if my daughter was to marry someone from a different race?

How do i change my ways?
