I believe that being gay is actually something you are born with......I used to go to primary school with this boy and he was thought of as gay. He was very feminine and carried himself in a very stereotypical 'gay' way.

I met him recently and he is gay, he has a life partner and everything.

Do you believe you are born gay?

I have absolutely no judgment here btw - thought it was an interesting question.

People are born gay. I started liking boys at around 9 years old, even before I knew what sex was. By the time I was 10 or 11 years old, I wanted to kiss boys. I thought that eventually I would be attracted to girls, but it never happened.

I was born gay. Now I don't mean that I came out of the womb singing show tunes, but that my sexual orientation was predetermined by my genetic makeup just like heterosexuals. Human beings are so diverse, and that diversity comes from our genes. That's what makes people tall, short, bald, conjoined twined, intersexual, green eyed, blue eyed, you name it. You can't always see the differences between people, like you can in the examples I just mentioned, but they are there.

Being gay is not a choice, bigotry is.

I believe people are born with their sexuality. For that above commenter, I think it is very degrading to say being gay is like being an alcoholic or a criminal, you narcissistic, offensive prick.

And as for the emo thing, that is stereotypically a person's reaction to their environment situation, and the people around them. A completely psychologically based decision, so that comparison doesn't work.

Homosexuality exists in all cultures, societies, and even in other species too. How can something be situational or environmental when it transends all barriers made by society. Only something natural would manage to so thoroughly transend all these man-made barriers.

And for that person who recited the bible and called gays lust-crazed sinners: Yes, I could maybe ignore it and pretend to be happy with the oposite gender. I'm sure I would lead a miserable existance, living a lie and giving in to a societally imposed shame I don't believe I deserve. I have a different view though. God stands for everything right. Happiness, peace, acceptance and hope. If we are all his children, then why would he make me deny who I am and live that lie? Hey wait, but lying is wrong. It seems I'd be sinning either way.

Tell you what, if you expect me to live a straight life though I'm gay, you try living a gay life though you're straight, instead. Let me know how long it is until you snap.

That guy lied about the Scientific research, its just the opposite, there was no link found in the brain or genes that proved they were born that way.

The bible says they are carried away by their own ungodly lust.

The arguement that why would they choose this lifestyle to be miserable, is a weak and pathetic arguement. It's like saying a child molester would never choose it either, because they get ostrisized, so maybe they can say they were born that way too.

Some peoples childhood makes it more likely they will become gay, because of a lack of bonding with a father figure, or no father at all, only the influence of females around. But this does not have to be their fate, there is always hope with Jesus. He loves them, they dont have to live in this bondage.

A LOT Of people will say otherwise, but honestly...I can see it both ways.
Some people become gay later in life...

HOWEVER

could it be because they were gay all along, but they just got the oppertunity to realize it???

The people that become that way, obviosly were gay before, but just hadn't opened themselves to that world yet.
I dont think there is anything wrong with being gay in the least! But I agree, that it is something you are born with.

I know this is a really crappy example, but you could have heart problems your whole life and not no it. But one day you go to a theme park and rude a roller coaster and your heart just freaks out, you go to the doctor and find out that you have had these heart issues your whole life...
You had just never been in a situation where it presented itself.

I feel that 95% of the time it is genetic the other 5% is becuse of a child having been molsted.
In my family there has been a gay man in the last three genreations, and I know other families that have the same stat. I also know a set of idenital twins and both of them are gay. It isn't a choice to be gay, as it can be a hard lifestyle to live with, as some peoples friends, family along socitey still beleve that there is something wrong with being gay, and can be mean and vicious to gay men and women.

In My Opinion, you are not born gay, everyone is born the same way, everyone from there moment of birth has the same things physically.

Now mentally, thats another ball game.

However, i believe that no matter what God decided your mental genes to be, you can overcome them and live with or without them.

A child of a murderer does not become a murderer because of his genes, a child of a gay person does not become gay because of his genes.

I (in my opinion) think gay people are weak naturally.

They are raised in a female society and with their natural weakness, just graduate to the female leaders.

Do i think all men can be gay? Yes
Do you I am Gay? No
Do you think I want to be Gay? Sometimes

They have a lot of freedom nowdays, its a cult, though they call it a lifestile, its a cult.

When i was a teenager, i was hit on many times by older people who wanted me to just reject my learnings and embrace the gay lifestile (its not a cult). I can see your confused, come with me and Dick and Jane, Dick likes you and can show you he likes you..(its not a cult)...

Hence most people enter into this way of life young and they are confused.

No, your not born gay, but some elements will convince you you are..

I believe they are. I believe it has nothing to do with genetics. If you believe in reincarnation...most have had the opportunity to live many lives as both sexes. Some in this life may have experienced many previous lives as the opposite sex they are now and are more comfortable in that previous sex. It's deeper than I am explaining. And, yes, I will get blown out of the water for what I am saying. But, it just makes sense to me and makes it all that much more refreshing to just not give a damn what anyones sexuality is, but to except them for the human being that they are.

In my personal opinion, I believe gay people are born gay. Also, I love it when straight people try to say that gays choose to be gay LMAO I love it, because its so ignorant. I mean, how do they know gay people chose to be gay? They don't, unless they are gay themselves.

But overall, I think a gay person is just born gay, and there is nothing wrong with it at all. God loves all his children. I doubt he is going to condemn a gay person to hell for loving the same sex. I mean, a person being gay may not be his plan, but like I said, I don't think hes going to condemn a person to hell based on their sexual orientation. I believe that if you lived a good life, and you truly believe in God, and you love him, you will be saved. That is my personal opinion, and I stick to that 100%

I'm str8 btw, but I have alot of gay/lesbian friends.

I believe some people are born gay.
I also believe some people choose a gay lifestyle because of events in their lives (positive or negative) that have led them to choose that way over another.
I also believe some people just love other people and pay no regard to gender.
