They have me. It means more when looking into the other person's eyes and you know you've connected. The words that gave me shivers were remembering what a Buddhist monk once told my SO. He said: "The greatest thing you can do is to go home and love your family."

These did the same to me......
Isaiah 46
8 "Remember this, fix it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning,
from ancient times, what is still to come.
I say: My purpose will stand,
and I will do all that I please.
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;
from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.
What I have said, that will I bring about;
what I have planned, that will I do.

Buddhist philosophies are lovely, and I can respect them. I cannot follow their excessive levels of pacifism, however, and instead choose to follow the natural course of life.
The strong will always be beaten by the gentle.

Different type of goosebumps but... the first time I heard a fundementalist say ,"The word of god is law, and we are going to see that it is the law of this land some day."
Instantly brought pictures of trials and burnings to mind... gave me the shivers.

"Have mere words ever given you goose bumps?"
Gosh yes, quite a lot of Shakespeare.

The last words that gave me goosebumps amongst other things was, "You don't mind if me and my friends get in your hot tub naked, We forgot our bathing suits"
I don't know if you could call them goosebumbs but I sure felt something!
