This is getting out of hand. Not only are the fundies and Christian trolls sending hate mail to atheists and other non-Christians, but to moderate/liberal Christians too. I seem to have missed the Bible verse where it says to flame all those who don't believe exactly what you do.

Why, or why not, to whom, and in which circumstances?

Thank you for your answer! :)

Have a wonderful day! :)

I’m a Mexican guy; I never get any complaints about my English. The other day in San Antonio, Texas, I went to Church’s Chicken. I was alone, so I hadn’t even opened my mouth, I wasn’t talking to anyone. I was approaching the counter, and this Black woman pops up her frog-ugly eyes at me, and abruptly turns around before I could say anything. She yells out “I don’t have time for translations, you take care of this”. Immediately this White girl comes to take my order in English since that’s the way I was going to order anyway.

I was so shocked, I just ordered and left. What should’ve I done?

The Qur'an states that you shall marry only up to four women: "If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with orphans, marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or that which your right hands possess..." (4:3).
If the Qur'an is eternal, having been written on the table in heaven, then the four wife limit was an eternal decree.
Question: Why did Muhammad have 12 wives if the Qur'an says to have only four? Khadija, sawda, Aesah (8 years old), Omm Salama, Hafsa, Zaynab (originally the wife of Muhammad's adopted son), Jowayriya, Omm Habiba, Safiya, Maymuna, Fatima, Hend, Asma (of Saba), Zaynab, Habla, Asma?

After all, Windows and our world have a lot in common: the designers were idiots, it often breaks, is energy-inefficient, requires prayer to make it work, has a ton of code that doesn't make any sense, has a great deal of conflicting components, and the system will eventually die.

surely the female mind is better suited to reading recipes for baking fairy cakes and sewing their husbands socks rather than tackling difficult and complex issues like world and social affairs? i dont mean this in a nasty way toward the good ladies as i love em every chance i get ,but they should leave these complex issues to us men and get on with making a bit of dinner.

I pray and belive in God, but everytime I go to church I find that I'm thinking that they're fool of crap! What does that mean?? Why do I belive in God but not in church or Christianity? I grew up in church, but now that I'm 19 I dont know if I agree with it. Does that make me agnostic?

According to the news story, Scientology is coming under fire in Europe, mainly in Germany, where the prosecutor has recommended they face criminal charges.

How does this make Scientologists feel?
How does this make other religious people feel? (In other words, do you fear for your own religion also coming under the microscope?)
How does this make those of us who have no religion feel?

I have to write an essay for my MBA application. The full question reads: "What social cause or global issue do you think deserves greater attention in order to make the world a better place? And what steps might be taken to further that cause or address the issue?"

I would like some ideas of what to talk about, preferably things that are really "off the radar". I'm trying to avoid using global warming, poverty, or any other cliche things. Also, any information to learn about it and ways to address/solve it would be great.

I would include Hezbolah, Hamas, etc. And also Iran's President & Hugo of Venezuela. Saddam Husain & sons.

The devil is a liar, false accuser, slanderer, thief, & murderer since the beginning.

Jesus said that hell was prepared for the devil & his messengers. So? Where do these terrorists go when they die?

My mom needs a count for catering, but only a few people have responded to the RSVP's. We sent the invitations out a week or two ago and asked them to call to RSVP since we were sort of late on senting out invites (didn't think they'd have time to mail a RSVP card back). Only a few people on each side have actually called! Is it going to kill someone to pick up the phone and call?

What should we do? There's no way for us to know how many is coming!
