Aeisha I am so saddened that you are not a free person, and that you can't know the love and kindness of Jesus Christ.

Mormons are not Christians if they believe in polygamy.

Well if you know Jesus and His teachings you would know what He said about marriage and about other gods. You would know what He said about other prophets coming after Him. There is only two ways to go with Jesus, you fallow His teachings or you call Him a liar. If you a muslim than guess where that put you. And I don't know how does your religion feels about respecting prophets that are liers.

I checked wolfmuslims web site and she says that she went to high school between 2002-2006 so how old is she 18,19. Also since she is a USA citizen she is ment to obey USA laws wherever. If she got into a polygamous marriage in another country than she broke american laws, and it is not recognized in the USA.

Unfortunately, Islam does promote polygamy. Not only is polygamy encouraged by the Quran, but it was practiced by the founder of Islam, who had 12 wives. One of his "wives," Aisha, was only 9 years old when the "marriage" was consummated. We Westerners, raised in a culture that reveres Christian ethics, would prosecute Muhammad for statutory rape.

No one who flouts fundamental sexual ethics should be honored as a prophet.

It is permissible in Islam to have more than one wife. But i know not of one single Muslim who has more than one wife. It was really relating to a time when men where killed in battle and husbands where scarce. It was better for a woman to be a second wife to a Muslim husband than a first wife to a non Muslim. To give her the opportunity to be a mother and wife was a wonderful thing. You have to remember in these times that is all a woman ever dreamed of growing up getting a husband and being a mother. There are plenty of Muslim men to go round now so it rarely happens.
Even if a man wanted a second wife he has to prove he can financially support 2 wives, that she will be treated equally and most importantly his first wife would have to give her consent. All the Muslim men i know are more than contented with one wife and all the Muslim women i know unless there was a VERY good reason would not be giving there consent.
So its not like Muslims are all running around with 2,3 and 4 wives hope that clears it up for you.

EDIT
You mean like the Mormons follow the law?
News flash not all American Muslims are immigrants. Some are American born and raised. Pretty racist statement your making there....

Do you know of muslims living a poligamous lifestyle in the US? So who says they are not obeying the laws of the country which they live?
Why where the laws of the Native americans before immigrants came and wrote the constitution not followed? Just a smidge hypocritical dont you think?

EDIT
You'll get no apology from me. For what exactly? Because you now have a reply from a muslim sister who says she is a born raised american second wife? Did i say to you "you have never met one?" No i did not. I said "Do you know any?" It was a question not a statment. So now you have met one, and the problem is? You do not know her circumstances or the situation or which country she got married in. Perhaps she got married in a muslim country and broke no law. And who says she is a "poor girl"???? What is poor about being a second wife? It was her choice she did not have to marry him. She chose to be a second wife and like i said the first wife has to agree so who says that she is poor? You?
Maybe she the first wife and the husband are all perfectly happy. Maybe it suits there circumstances for a number of reasons. I guess "Arabmuslim" should be expecting an apology form you as you assume alot about her marriage dont you? What makes her not free? Why do you think your above her with your condesending attitude? Save yourself honey your the one who needs it if that is the case.......I did not see any muslim tell you, you needed to be saved by Allah. Did you? and PS muslims do love and respect Jesus have you ever read the Quran? Jesus is right in there, he was one of Gods Prophets after all. We most definity know and love Jesus........You obviously know nothing of Islam that is evident.
Like we both explained to you. It is not promoted but it is not a sin either. Like i said the sister below is not the only woman living in a poligamous marriage in the US, have you ever heard of Salt lake city?
Come on............

Funny how you never gave a reply to my question about Native Americans and their laws, pot calling kettle black anyone?

Well Islam doesn't promote polygamy. It is an option for Muslim men. Muslim men can have up to 4 wives as long as they get the permission from the first wife and they can treat all the wives equally and provide for them all. Otherwise should only take one wife. Most Muslim men even rich Muslim men only have one wife as one is easier to take care of. If a Muslim man does have more then one wife then he has at most 2. It is very rare to see a Muslim man with more then one wife. A couple of reasons why a man might take another wife:
1) his first wife is infertile and can not have children so instead of divorcing her he marries a second wife.
2) the first wife is ill and the husband can't bear not to have his needs met so he takes another wife.
If the first wife says that her husband can not take a second wife then the husband can not take a second wife as he can't go against his wife. If he chooses to ignore her and marries another wife anyway the first wife can legally divorce him. By the way I'm from America. Born and raised here to American parents.

No, Islam promotes social justice. If a guy is incapable of being merely along with his different halves and treating the two/all in a fashion that makes them happy and is honest, he could desire to have merely one. In Islam, a guy is permitted as much as 4 everlasting different halves, yet for all however the superb of adult males, this could be impossible to do with justice and equality between different halves. In a society wherein there are various widows and orphans, and lots poverty, polygamy could be effective, if practiced properly, it is for the earnings of the ladies and little ones, to no longer fulfil the lusts of the guy. (nevertheless there is not any longer something incorrect with a Muslim guy needing his spouse.)

Or Is the illegality of polygamy in the USA constitutional? Or should Middle Eastern Cultures be judged on a Western standard?

EDIT: You said nothing of Immigrants in your original question.

Islam allows for men to have up to four wives so long as he treats them equally in all matters. Money , housing, his time etc. Many muslim men in UK have more than one wife (many encourage by their wives to take another). Unfotunatley however they do not always support their wives themselves but rely on their wives claiming benefit from the state to live .
