I also feel that God knows what we need and provides but I do beg for the things I want to happen sooner or come quicker...(I hope that isn't wrong).
Thank you for your beautiful ?'s ((Moon))

AHHh, the truth?? NO
I am real good at helping everyone else
most of the time. And then I think I put
myself on the "back burner" most of the
time. I have always been like this...I don't think I can change, I sure wouldn't know how.
Or If I would want to. I enjoy helping people,
I always have. There is just that something about me, that I do this. I am always helping people here, and in my life...
What can I say..I am a giver...
and if I can do that...WHY NOT??!!
That's what makes me the happiest.!!

Exactly what Eagle Woman said. I don't pray for the thing itself but rather pray for the knowledge, skill and stamina to obtain what I want on my own. I don't see Deity as a favor granting machine, insert so many fervent requests and out comes your favor. I believe we have to do whatever we can to "earn" the things that we need. In other words, "God helps those who help themselves first". If we show that we are willing to do the work necessary then he/she provides the way for us to obtain it.

The word says we have not because we ask not, so I am finding it much easier to ask for myself for understanding, wisdom and strength. I was also taught early in my Christian walk that God works through people, and another little thing I never forgot: "Pray for the crop with a hoe in your hands." We do need to do what we can, and leave the rest to our Father. Sometimes the best thing you can do is to be an instrument to help anothers prayer come to fruition. Bless you!

I talk to God as though h/she were my very best friend. I talk about things I am concerned about, as well as what I am grateful for. I love God will all that I am. I believe God knows my wants and needs before I even do. I ask that H/her will be done, not mine. So far, the trip has had ups and downs. But I always have my very best friend with me to guide me through and learn what I need to.
Blessed Be

Yes, I do. I ask my Lord to provide me the calm and perseverance of my soul as I go into the whirlpools of co-existence each day...even knowing He already knew what I needed even before I could have asked for it. And why do I still need to ask if He already knew? My Lord is pleased each time I realize I'm helpless without Him as it glorifies His being the Giver of my needs.
A wonderful day to you too, Moon!

I'm not sure I follow your question. I will attempt to answer based on my understanding of it.
The Bible says "whatsoever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive."
First off, you go to God in the name of Jesus. You base your need on His promises found in the Word of God. The circumstance vary; it could be finances, healing, deliverance or even salvation.
Just because you ask today for something does not mean it's gonna knock on your door tonight. Although it could. Sometimes we have to stand in faith believing that it will come to pass because we asked in accordance to the Will of God (His Word). Sometimes it takes days, weeks, months, or even years.
Nevertheless, you have to stand upon those promises in His Word, that is why we are told to "Walk by faith and not by sight."

Yes, I ask the Lord to make me a better person spiritually. I want to be a better person to everyone, as well as to myself. I remember to thank Him for the things that He has given or blessed me with. Sometimes I will see or hear of a situation that makes me thoughtful and reflective.I ask God to help or intercede for that person or situation, so that it can be better or not so bad. I ask for me, my family and others.

I do ask for what I need. Daily strength, wisdom, and forsight, to name a few, from my Lord and God. I usually ask of something everyday, but not without thanks of the previous day and or gifts i have already received. for sure I ask daily for God's grace to shine upon me to be a better spiritual leader to the world.

Yes, I sure do ask the Lord for my needs and also my wants.
Scripture says we don't get because we don't ask. My God shall all my needs according to His riches and glory.
