Bowling for Columbine did it to the gun culture.

Super Size Me did it to fast food.

Now The God Who Wasn't There does it to religion.

Holding modern Christianity up to a bright spotlight, this bold and often hilarious new film asks the questions few dare to ask.

Your guide through the world of Christendom is former fundamentalist Brian Flemming, joined by such luminaries as Jesus Seminar fellow Robert M. Price, professor Richard Dawkins, author Sam Harris and historian Richard Carrier.

See the movie the Los Angeles Times calls "provocative - to put it mildly."

Hold on to your faith. It's in for a bumpy ride.

For many years I have always doubted the existence of Jesus or whatever you call him. But no one could answer my questions. I guess this movie will.

What do you guys feel, and have you even heard of this movie. it must at least raise a brow.

Many of us have seen the episode of South Park that mentions this and I'm interested to know if mormons actually believe this. I have brown skin and let me tell ya, it's the way to go if you have a choice.

Obviously i don't take what I see on a cartoon at face value, and anyone can answer but I'm especially interested in the answers of current or former mormons.

If we are made in the image of god and given the ability to reason and think, how can god then condemn us for using the very faculties we were designed with?

Thus, when a christian will not study his religion outside of his church but will condemn contradictory criticism as blasphemy instead, is not said christian ignoring god-given curiosity and logic?

I open this question also to all religions.

Homosexuality is also found in the animal kingdom. So if homosexuality is a matter of choice, then some rodents made the choice to become gay? huh? One rodent woke up and said, "Today I make a concious decision to feel sexually attracted to male rodents!"

P.S. If you accept that rodents are naturally gay, then your theory that homosexualtiy is a matter of choice is thus false.

Can you be a Christian if you don't believe everything mentioned in the Bible is correct??
Can you be a Christian if you believe that part of the Bible is corrupt or unjust??
Can you be a Christian if you prefer others way than the Bible's way of life style or how things should be done??

I ask these questions because I see many people claiming to be Christians, but if you ask them about parts of the Bible, you will see that they disagree, or say that this is unjust, or say this is unfit for this century, or say this is corrupt, or I don't follow this part, etc etc

There are obviously alot of gay christians out there. But the bible also clearly condemns it. Christians don't care whether it's by choice or not, if you act upon your desires your desire you're condemned. So what do you do? Do you marry a woman despite feeling no sexual attraction towards her, or do you plan to be alone and miserable for the rest of your life? Homosexuality and Christianity cleary cannot co-exist. If you you're a Christian and say homosexuality is alright, then you're not following God's teachings.

P.S. I'm not a Christian, and don't see why there's anything wrong with homosexuality when you're naturally born that way.

Ever since I got married and I wear my wedding ring, women are much more flirtatious and often give me more notice. Why is this the case? Do women find married men more attractive? My wife is so beautiful so it doesnt affect me, since no one can compare but for other men, I feel bad for them...

Do you make an effort to "connect" with the Lord every day? Do you look at prayer as something you do when you need something from the Lord? How important is it to reserve time to just praise the Lord? How do you see it, Christians?

Athiests, feel free to put your input too. I know that my title just begged for you to do so anyway. Christians... Why do we attack other preachers and let Satan have free reign? Don't we have a job to do? Don't we have an enemy to crush? If a preacher is, in your eyes, a heretic, don't preach about him unless he is threatening your congregation. Preach the bible to teach your people that his teachings are heresy, but don't attack a preacher personally. Why aren't we telling Satan to get his hands off of preachers and begging God to fill them with His Spirit? Why can't we be like Christ who preached hard against the Pharisees who threatened his ministry, but told his deciples to leave alone those who preached repentance who weren't exactly thier stripe? Why can't we mainline on exposing the deciever, the accuser, that old adversary Satan and on uplifting our Savior and his gospel?

A question for LDS answerers out there. I've been non-religious for several years, though I was raised United Methodist and was a practicing pagan for a few years. I've given some thought as to what my core beliefs are, and I know that there is a greater being than I, but I do not discern Its nature. I know also that prayer is real and works. Recently I've been feeling that pull ... that I need something more in my life. I've been seeking for a church that would be receptive to my past and help guide me to my future, and I am wondering if LDS is that church.

How do I go about figuring out which church (and here I mean the building) to go to? I have heard that there are different "wards" and "stakes", but I don't know what this means for me. Is it permitted to simply attend a worship service "unannounced" as it were? Any help greatly appreciated.
