Amaterasu is the primary (unofficially) Shinto Goddess of the Sun. A video game was made about her retelling her myth in an intersting and unique way for the PS2, it was called Okami.

Nope .... never done that in my life....
For readhead charlie, Amaterasu (天照) is the Sun goddess of the Japanese Shinto reilgion :p.

However, I usually favor Kwanyin over her, sorry.
