I'm 3 months into my job as a manager for a drug store and I've realized that whenever serious trouble comes along it is always the same person over and over and over again.
for example there's this guy that whenever he finishes paying he always swears there's something wrong with his receipt and before I can explain he demands that I let him have the items for free because he would have suffered a loss if he hadn't noticed it. Each time his imaginary losses are no more than $1. This is also located in an upper middle class neighborhood where $1 is no big deal. Then there's this woman who tends to bug someone once every 30 secs to see if her pictures are ready even after we tell her it'll be about 10 minutes.
This is getting me thinking. Do some people just come in looking to cause trouble or can they just never be satisfied?

Basically, it's like this. I'd like to read some responses to this from various sources. The question is, Who is the final authority on the subject of morals and right vs wrong?

Do you think that it is each individual person according to the dictates of their conscience?

Do you believe it's the head of a family or tribe?

Do you believe that a government or national leader should define what's right and wrong?

To say that no one should would be to say that each individual makes the determination themselves.

The reason I ask is because many answerers on R&S say that certain things are wrong - even many that are not religious. What exactly are these opinions based on? Who do you consider the final moral authority?

What is going to happen when Jesus Christ comes back ? is the world going to end? who's going to heaven, hell, & who's getting left behind. What happens if you choose not to get that chip thing?
If your agnostic or don't believe in God please don't say something that criticizes my opinions because every one has their own. & if you have your own opinion about how the world is going to end & want to write it then go ahead. I'm just looking for answers to answer my questions . Thanks. =)

I am tired of those trolls in this section.

I do think they should get a meaningful life and stop being like a fly. They are rude and small minded. It's sad that I am also being a bit rude to those trolls in this section these few days, it makes me feel like "being like them"..... what a suck feeling! I don't want to be like them. It's a shame.

So, I think I should stop answering the questions from those trolls in this section. Just ignore them..... what's the point talking to a stone that would never think.....

Do you think this is the best way NOT to wasting our time on those trolls?

My question SHOULD be simple, yet I doubt that the answer will be. In the 21st century, it is a well-known fact that humans are draining this planets natural resources, at an incredible rate. It is also a well-known fact that our race is reaching to the stars, possibly to find another home-world, once this planet is drained of energy. What I dont understand is why the Roman Catholics continue to seek answers, in the planets deep past. To me, it seems ridiculous to preach "Be fruitful, and multiply", in a world where so many people are un-employed, and where several nations, in the HERE AND NOW, must impose population restrictions, due to lack of resources. When the Catholics tell me "In the words of John the Baptist...", I so want to say "Hey, that dude (John) lived thousands of years ago, in a time when Earth had plenty of open space. What would he say if he were alive, in the 21st century? When resources are at critically LOW levels.

If they cannot get into Heaven, if you were God, if it were up to you, would you let them go to Heaven as long as they were good?

Life has not always been so easy for me but lately God has been proving that He is on my side and that makes life so much easier. To those of you who need to have someone to talk to about the Lord feel free to contact me at ericarl80@yahoo.com. I love to help encourage people in the Lord and I am not judgemental. That is not what Christianity is about. Trust me. Love you all. God bless!

Matthew 10:28-31
"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."

I read this verse as God saying that HE determines the time of our death. If we live for Him, we have nothing to fear... not heart disease, not bullets... nothing can take us until God allows it. What do you make of this and how does it make you feel?

The bible doesn't offend anyone except ignorant sinners. When you shed light on an offenders offenses, they get all upset, because they have been exposed. The bible exposes all sin and ignorance for all of humanity from Adam to the last human that will ever be born, so for all who are true believers, the bible cannot be an offense, because no matter how much the truth hurts, we have to accept all of it. As for unrepentant sinners who will never mature mentally and accept Gods word, there will be a day to come that they too will kneel down and confess that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and that Gods word is absolute truth.

Agree?

Now, don't get me wrong, there's a lot of mud-slinging and bigotry and intolerance from both camps here, atheist and theist. But it's some of the Christian questions here that often stand out for me: picking on homosexuals and Muslims and atheists with name-calling, insults and other derogatory, juvenile remarks.

Remember, I'm NOT saying that the atheists or other religious participants are any better. And of course I am NOT by any stretch of the imagination saying that all Christians' questions are like this: far from it. But for that small, bitter minority: you call yourselves Christians. You're supposed to follow Christ's example. When you ask a sarcastic, derogatory question of your fellow men and women, do you stop to think of whether your Savior would be proud?

Do you think that having paid clergy is a good idea? Why or why not? Do you think that paying someone to espouse their belief in God or scripture would make them more likely to "fake it"? Or do you think that the work they do is worth the moeny and other benefits they would/do receive?
