Because we naturally operate at a lower vibration of mind which is in correspondence with the spectrum/phase of reality at this level, that being of the earth. So you are utilizing portions of mind which is directed toward the physical needs or process being well within the frequency of this world. It is as if what can be seen is forced back to the surface of the earth, its an organic limitation. Your mind would have to begin to expand beyond the limits of carnal/mundane consciousness, beyond the organic limits, but this takes time and effort, and the evolution of mind, WHICH is NOT the brain. And this must be all holistically, encompassing mindset and lifestyle, because the body in its impure state can't hold higher vibrations of thought/mind, the vital energy/force that one receives continually must be used to expand the mind and thought essence.
Yes the world is an illusion, but I rather liken it to being an allegory. It is true that we construct hard reality, that we are essentially interpreting vibrations between molecules, but our interpretations provide a window into our minds, for what we construct by sensory means represents a specific aspect of our consciousness. So it is a reflection in its imagery, all is a reflection of the cosmology of the our own innate consciousness.

Because for me the world is real as I am not able to see heaven or anything below the ground as I cannot go there so long as I am breathing. U r a human being and ur belief is ur reality so perceive as u want to. I think that I am a human being and that is my reality with all its limitations. What I see, I touch, I smell if that is not real then nothing is real for me. Make the most of this life, why go to unfathomable depth that I cannot come up. My capacity is limited and I work within that parameter so that I am a useful person for myself and my surroundings at least.

Sometimes we all do, just not everyone recognizes it as such.
I have had the experience of seeing the world as though it were light waves (it is) being shown against a huge screen....and if I could only find the corner, I could peel back the image, and see space and stars behind.....
or waking from a dream, feeling as though I were still in a dream....layers within layers, levels within levels...it takes a preparation and cultivation of the mind, to perceive this on a regular basis.
Imagine how disturbing that would be, if it came upon you unbidden...

Because we people are under the control of Maya which makes us to feel all unreal as real. Thats why man runs behind everything to get into the hands of evil.
Maya is nothing but the Brain which controls us based on what it thinks as real. Thats why some people really say there is no GOD as there brain never understand the GOD with its nature.

We do not see the reality as we are part of the unreality.

Because we SEE only what we believe to be true and these learned beliefs about self and the world are subconscious. The delusional holographic world most people inhabit is a product of misperception based on these learned illusions. However, the power of causality is not diminished.

How can you find anything unreal when it is real? The world infront of us is real. Had it not been so, different people would have seen the world differently.

"A Course in Miracles" talks about this a lot. It's difficult to read, and I've all but given up. What I understand is that we create what we believe to be real. So when we see it, we obviously see it as real, as that is how it came about. I hope that makes sense. What I've been taught, and it makes sense to me, that anything that can be destroyed by man, has not been created by
God. When something cannot be destroyed by man, then it is a creation of God. The only example I can give quickly is man's soul. We did not create it, and we cannot destroy it.
Peace

One interesting viewpoint, which incidentally answers your question, is offered by the Scientologists. Much of their early work is directed toward the definition of words, the idea being improved communication between their therapists and "patients". To them, and I myself find it useful, the word "Reality" can be replaced with the word "Agreement". That's all reality is when you think about it, except perhaps to God himself. Anyway, this viewpoint sure explains a lot of the conflicts we have, including why criminals act the way they do. Like a drunken driver, a truly insane individual will simply impose his reality on everyone else. How often this occurs is a sad commentary on our current society, as well as the knee-jerk of Tribalism (pick your "Minority") and continuing repression of our personal liberties to "protect" us!
