Everyday there is at least one Christian person asking Athiests why they don't believe in god and sometimes they even throw out a few bible verses too as if that will suddenly enlighten the Athiest to have faith. Why do they care if the Athiest doesn't believe? Does it really matter? It's not effecting thier faith or beliefs so what exactly is the point? Is this just some ploy to start an argument becasue I'm sure not all of them really care about a good argument against thier belief system. So Christians...what's your motive?

There is not other translation like that. I can talk to you about everything in the Bible just because of that accurate translation. It is not like KJV that translated the word for "divine characteristics" as "Godhead" in Rom. 1:20. But Only in Colossians can you find in greek the Word Godhead. That refers to deity, which if different from the divine chacacteristics manifested by the created things. This strongly indicates the deity of Christ in Colossians 2:9. I just showed you one, but there many words translated as they wanted in the KJV.

There may be a possibility, but are our imaginations trustworthy sources of information? Furthermore, if it is not a part of our reality (for if it were we could see it and test it), what purpose does believing in it hold?

The answer is simple!!! Some of us need to stop the preaching, the holier-than-thou crap and stop quoting mega scripture. Atheists don't believe in our bible anyway so what good does it do to copy and paste mega scripture. We need to walk our talk. We need to love like Jesus loved. Our words need to be "Jesus inspired". Jesus wouldn't want us arguing with others about him. He wants us to love and be patient with others. Remember that love is patient.

Definition of Patient: Bearing or enduring pain, difficulty, provocation, or annoyance with calmness, tolerance and understating.

Large and widely cognized shifts abounding......

cosmic yearning, longing for Home, reaching for compassion deep within......

what is that sound? who is it that seeks to enter? will the door swing outward if you open it, or will it swing within.....

is it Someone else ?
is it You, have you been inside all along, and the knocking was to remind you it is time to remember, to open, to receive and to be received.....

if you open the door to your Home, will you walk through the door of your heart?

I'm an American studying at a British university. Everyday a different Brit tells me that Americans are stupid and then they go on and on about it.

I get it. Americans are stupid & Brits take the piss. As a result, I just concentrate on my studies and try to get through the year. I know my own course pretty well(European History and Politics)and a fair bit about other subjects. I'm starting this year ranked as the number 3 student in terms of marks. Anyway, a lecturer, with whom I have to study again this year, told me that the reason he gave me a lower mark is because I don't engage non-written debate when it deals with the 'States.

I think he's trying to screw me over. Brits think what they think about the US and that's it! No need for debate. Although it irritates me, I'm thinking of changing my course to French. On the one hand, it feels like avoidance and cheating b/c I've been a Qualified Interpretor for the past 3 years but on the other, what are my options?

I have decided, to experiment with my second child (19 months) and see if she will turn out more disciplined, "moral" and spiritual than my eldest child, now almost 7.

I spanked my eldest child on his diaper as a toddler for dangerous misdeeds, and he quickly learned right from wrong, and what could hurt him, and what he needed to come get mommy and daddy to help him with, or ask first. He is now an honest, capable, and intelligent young man who is very independent, but respects authority and knows when to ask for permission, and knows when to ask for help.

Well, with my baby girl, I am going to use "The Naughty Bean Bag" chair in the fun room as the punishment spot for misdeeds. So, if baby touches the stove, she won't get a swat, she will get ice cream and a trip to the naughty bean bag chair. No more raising my voice to get her attention. Now, I will just hug her after she attempts to touch the neighbor's sheep fence, and tell her how brave she is.
Like it?

How can Christians continue to live the lifestyle they live in society today not knowing or even knowing the way they live their life would be considered a sinful life to christians in the past, or even in the bible.

First example, look at the younger generation. Is it just me or does anyone else notice how Entertainment/Celebrities are influencing younger girls to wear makeup, short skirts, and try to act older than they are?

How can most Christians continue to have sex, flirtations outside marriage, discrimiate against other religions or people when they are supposed to love everyone equally and not condemn anyone and then go to church 1 day of the week and expect everything they are doing is alright?

So many christians are enraged over this homosexuality issue, when they don't know greed was mentioned right next to homosexuality and was warned against and mentioned even more in the bible.

Seems pretty hypocritical to me..

I have heard alot of Atheists say that they can not believe in God without proof. Exactly what kind of proof do you need? If He came out of Heaven and you were a witness, would you even believe that it was Him? I would like to know what He could do to proove to you that He is Real.

I ask because it would perhaps enable one to date Jesus cleansing the Temple in John's gospel chapter 2. In a heated discussion regarding Jesus' authority to remove the money changers some religious leaders say that it has taken 46 years to build the Temple (and I remember reading somewhere that building wasn't complete even in Jesus' time)
