Which group has murdered more people over the centuries: Christians or Muslims?

Neither. That title belongs to a different religious group.

What is usually given by historians as the worst century for "murders" by both those groups is the 11th century, when the Crusaders retook the city of Jerusalem in July of 1095. That year the number of Muslims, Christians and Jews slain numbered about 900,000. Many of those were killed in war.

However in the 20th century, the atheist governments of the USSR, China, North Korea, North Vietnam, and Cuba managed to slaughter at least 28 million. (And that does NOT include those killed in war).

This manages to give them more than a 28:1 kill ratio victory, far the worse either the Christians or Muslims have managed to do in a single century. Even if the 11th century toll was repeat in each of the 19 other centuries since the Christian faith began, it still would not equal the carnage that atheism managed in a single century.

id say christians if you go by hitler, and the crusades, and today in america most stabbings and murders are from christians example the ones who kill their children or wives most are christian backgrounds. and all the wars world war 1 and 2 didnt involve muslims. i believe most muslims are defending their families when they are faced with attackers. now the wtc bombings and sucide bombings brought the number up . but those people were idiots , they cannot be considered muslims as islam is against all they said they bombed for.

Neither, because a true Christian and a true Muslim would never murder. Some people have used their religion and their causes to kill others but that ironically made them not part of that religious belief. Think about it.

Muslims.
A Christian is a follower of Christ, and anyone who is in Christ will not commit murder. They would have to step outside of Christ in order to do that.
On the other hand, Muslims are followers of Muhammad, who slaughtered many and raped young children. I think I've said enough.
