i meant no disrespect, but why i don't hear Christians praises the God in heavens more than they praise Jesus, i hear you thanking Jesus more than thanking God in heaven, why is that? isn't He the one who created you?

and especially that Jesus said:

john 14:28 reads--
" .......BECAUSE THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I AM"

John 8:54
Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

John 7:16
Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me

My polite and humble Question was

"Tom Cruise is jumping on Oprah's couch begging everyone to follow scientology, What will you tell him?"

The best answer i chose,
"Mission Impossible,Tom"

No sense of humor. End result, Pissed off scientologists.

Are there FUNDIES in every religion???

I had two strokes two years ago and I incurred aphasia. I went through therapy and also I can speech a little better, and was wondering if there were any current successful treatment for this disability. I know there is research going on, but I have seen on tv where there were people that have had a temporary speech loss and they speech fine now. I was wondering if maybe I got the wrong kind of treatment or not enough or if it something I'm gonna have to live with. Does anyone know anyone that has had successful treatment and what they did.

An eye-for-an-eye provides protection from vengeance for taking another's eye. The punishment cannot be worse than the crime. For people of surrounding cultures, it was a "life-for-an-eye."

Jewish law provides protection from practices of other cultures they lived among. Taking a life in vengeance was the norm of the day -- God forbade His people from those practices. His people are to be a holy people and must provide justice for ALL -- for both Israelites and for strangers in their land. There were cities of refuge where people could receive protection from vengeance after having accidentally killed someone, or for other "crimes."

Love must be tempered by justice. We cannot have peace without both love and justice (tough love).

Psychology teaches that we behave in accordance to the activity in our brain and based on experiences we've had.

Astrology asserts that we behave as a reaction to the alignment of stars and planets.

Is it fair that one be taught and not the other? Why?

And even if you don't think so, people should take a look at my last question. I don't bash people, but the amount of intolerance shown by some people here is just pathetic. It's 2007. Why are some people so ignorant? Anyway, what is your conclusion based on this?

"Close (closer than the last phony) but no cigar. Note the shape of the cheeks and the width of the nose.
His arms and hands are in view and appear uninjured, whereas it was reported that the real Osama's left arm was severely injured at Tora Bora.

Consider this: if this was the real Osama, didn't his appearance prove that Bush has wasted two hundred billion dollars and a thousand American lives (plus 100,000 Iraqi lives) without making us any safer from Osama? If the 2004 tape were genuine, wouldn't it prove that Bush is a total failure in his own "war on terror"?"

What is going to happen if a wicked "Few" set fire to all the forests in the World, without showing the slightest care for the Trees , the Wild-life, the people whose properties get burnt, or who lose their lives as a result of being trapped by the flames, like thousands of birds and animals?...Let alone the effect its going to have on our already traumatised World.
What the Hell is going on?
I believe the true Heros of our times are the valiant Fire-fighters, and NOT Spiderman or Harry Potter!
Why don`t we wake up to a very real and terrible danger. It only needs one or two "Locos" to destroy what would take years to replace, if ever!
My punishment for the responsible would be sending them to live on the Moon and Mars, where there`s not a tree in sight for them to destroy. I think they would very quickly wish to return to Earth and make amends for what they have done!

I see soooo many churches saying they teach tolerance but in the end what they are really teaching is....
"this is what Jews believe... they are going to Hell. We should love them and do our best to change what they believe"

"this is what Muslims believe... they are going to hell. We should love them and do our best to change them!"

"this is what atheist "believe" They are going to hell.............

Is this tolerance and love?

I've noticed many Christian/creationist parents do not want their children being taught evolution in school.

I've also noticed that many Christians/creationists aren't very knowledgeable when it comes to the theory of evolution and sometimes appear ignorant when trying to debate the subject.

What I don't understand is: Why is it that many Christians do not want their children to be knowledgeable about something simply because they don't agree with or believe in it? Wouldn't it be best for them to understand the subject, even if they don't believe in it or agree with it? You can't possibly debate an issue if you do not understand the other side's point of view.

This is why you find that many atheists are so knowledgeable about religion - you can't argue something you don't understand.

The day when the poor masses can finally open their eyes to the truth and shake off the shackles of religion. The day when people can live free without the fear of a fictional, eternal place of damnation and religious oppression. The day when people like Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Benny Hinn, Louis Farrakhan, D. James Kennedy and Ayatollah Khomeini are relics of a forgotten myth
