It can't mean "this is stronger" because the two words wouldn't agree in gender. The best I can do is "(I am) stronger than this" (ablative of comparison) but that leaves an unanswered question, stronger than whom or what?
The coat of arms depicts four D-shaped objects, each consisting of a short stick-like thing with its ends connected by a loop of chain. They don't represent the letter D because the straight part is horizontal with the loop of chain above. Any ideas as to what these might be? Some instrument of torture? Primitive handcuffs?

Teacher is a source of knowledge. When we are in school/colleges, it is the teacher who teaches us about manners, discipline, language, arts, science, psychology, society culture, earth, space, universe...etc. etc.
We never worshipped them... we learnt from them and repsected them....

Spiritual Gurus, explaining us the Holy Books, teaching us art of living, ways of enlightenment, guiding us to understand God.. are being worshipped (It's my personal observation).

Do you think worshipping them is important or absorbing the knowledge given by them (if one has complete faith in it) and giving due respect to them is the correct way?

4) If meditation is to quiet the mind--to avoid provoking extra neurotransmitter activities and to eventually alter the brain "metabolism"--it is definitely not good to read, to write, and to become a writer, lawyer, educator, engineer... etc? It's nearly impossible to go through everyday's busy life while having to keep the brain immobile.

5) When a child is born, part of the growth and living a rich experience is to stimulate sensitivities; meditation seems to do the opposite. In vipassana, you do things very very slowly, it even got robotic. It doesn't make sense. So, once again, an arhat would be like a blank slate, and he's bad at argumentation because no words come to mind!!!!!!

6) SUPPOSE there's more than what meets the eye: suppose we have spirits! How would this change in brain structure *transfer* and imprint onto the spirit, for it to carry and manifest in its next life?

Adam & Eve ate a fruit and humanity consequently has to suffer for something they didn’t do! If your grandmother once stole an orange from her neighbor, are you to be condemned for your grandmother’s act? Somehow, Christians can make sense out of it O_o! Now, some Christians who don’t have the guts to stand by the absurdness of their own religion will try to say that the story of Adam & Eve is only symbolic and blah blah blah. They will try to say that humans suffer because they are sinful in nature and Adam & Eve is merely a mirror of us. But unfortunately the bible says that we indeed suffer because of Adam & Eve’s sin, so that argument is weak. But alright, for the sake of the argument, let’s say humans were supposed to suffer anyway because we are sinful in nature. Let’s pretend that God has some divine purpose for our suffering…but wait a minute! How about unborn babies? Why do they get exempt from all the suffering and temptation of our world? Go and ponder Christians!

"The fear of God is not the beginning of wisdom. The fear of God is the death of wisdom. Skepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom. The modern world is the child of doubt and inquiry, as the ancient world was the child of fear and faith."

When you were learning the days of the week at school did they teach you that the week started on Monday? And later did they change it to start on Sunday? I seem to remember it being this way. If so why was it changed? I am trying to figure out which day is the Seventh day as it should be the day of rest. The bible says the Sabbath which I thought means Saturday but I have always been taught Sunday is the day of rest. I am so confused!!!!

how are we to understand the teaching of the Watchtower society when it says that the dead will be resurrected on earth in a physical body. I have been told that this scripture is only intended for the 144,000 but where does it say that? Paul talks of THE dead, not a select few. If there is any clear scripture that explains this then I really need to read it. It is of great importance for me as my son died in March and I was so looking forward to holding him in the new system. Reading this scripture, which is one often skipped over by the society, I can see only that he will be raised a spirit person and not a physical one.

In the 21st Century I have noticed that sadly we have not progressed much past the time of Dickens.

He wrote about the poor dying in the streets of London, whilst the rich preached over them, called them "undeserving" and decreed that they "deserved" their fate because their poverty was the result of their own bad blood (laziness, stupidity, immorality etc) - even though many of these rich people were the laziest, stupidest and most immoral people on earth!!!

Time and again I read on here that if a man is poor it is because he is lazy, stupid or immoral and if a man is materially rich it is because he is somehow "superior" in his work ethic, intellect or talent.

This is not true. Yet sadly many of the people who preach this stuff claim to be Christians as well.

What does the Bible have to say on the subject. Didn't Jesus say it was "easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle" than for a rich man to enter heaven. What does that tell us?
