Sam Kinison was a preacher who decided to turn from religion and become a comedian. Some of his comedy was about religion. For instance, in one part he asks why none of the 5000 people so much as brought a sandwhich when they asked Jesus to divide the bread and wine. He also made comments about Jesus not being married, and he even made jokes about God saying to Sam, "Oh, you think that's funny? How do you like the sound of this?" after which, the "heartbeat" that Sam was thumping on the microphone--representing his own--stopped. He also made not so politically correct comments about drunk driving.

He was killed by a drunk driver. Some friends are telling me that this was a judgement from God. Does God really make this sort of individual judgement and pass a death sentence? How can I prove or disprove the comments of my friends, who don't bother to provide reasonable logic for their belief?

So for example, is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" part of the First Commandment (Protestant, Catholic), or is it part of the Second Commandment (Jewish)?

Is "Thou shalt not make for thyself an idol" the Third Commandment (Protestant) or part of the First Commandment (Catholic)?

etc, etc...

The text makes it clear that Abraham spoke with Jehovah, in the presence of two angels (per Genesis 19:1). It is also clear that Jehovah appeared human (see verse 2). We can therefore safely assume He had a face and body.

Yet, Jehovah said to Moses at Genesis 33:20 that "you cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live." John 1:18 also states that "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him."

Since Abraham literally saw the face of Jehovah, yet Moses was told that NO ONE can see Jehovah's face, doesn't this confirm for you that Someone else also goes by the Name of Jehovah?

A) Critically analyzed.

B) With an open mind.

C) With the assumption that it is the accurate word of God.

D) With a group of skeptical non-Christians.

E) With a group of Christian apologists ready to explain anything resembling an error.

Obviously, more than one may apply, but some seem more incompatible than others.

Did it give you any new thoughts or ideas?
Did you watch it in full and think it was clear?

I know its not much in the scheme of things, but due to some poor judgement in the past I seem to be plagued by bad karma. How can I get some good karma, I've tried to be good and do good things for people. Why is it the law of 3 only works when you're being naughty, not when you're being nice?

The smell, taste, anticipation, variations, etc. are truly heavenly.

The breath, headache, yellow teeth (not mine though) and price are truly hellish.

Which is it?

...have needs or wants? Doesn't desire imply incompleteness? If so, then how could such a being desire a relationship with us, or want us to worship it, or even care whether or not we believe in it?

I am a Christian, but I do not support his illegal and unethical war. True, Saddam Hussein was an evil tyrant, but there are other governments in the world today with similar situations and we do not try to "liberate" them. Also, the U.S. has supported similar or worse leaders in the past (Pol Pot, Pinochet, etc.).
Our reasons for attacking Iraq were based on lies. Many lives have been lost, not only from our armed forces, but also thousands of innocent Iraqis.
Anyway, as a Christian, I think that murder, lying, and greed are wrong, and yet the present administration seems to support these evils. I am not trying to start a Bush bash or to anger other Christians, I just want an honest and thoughtful answer to this question.

Braided cornroll type hairstyles everywhere, but they remove them when they go see a judge in the courthouse? Are they trying to clean up their image by removing the Cornroll braidy things? If they have to remove them, does that mean the hairstyle is not appropriate for society? Why do they feel the need to remove them for the judge?

This is a serious question for all races to answer. Thanks!
