...have needs or wants? Doesn't desire imply incompleteness? If so, then how could such a being desire a relationship with us, or want us to worship it, or even care whether or not we believe in it?

I REALLY wish I could answer your question but I'm bad at doublethink and doublespeak.

You can learn a lot about God, by studying man. God created us in His image, not physical, God is Spirit, it was the attributes, love, sad, happy, lonely, we have some of the sames needs as God. Being all powerful does not mean God would not have emotions, He gets angry, happy, sad, glad, lonely, hurt, all these and more are explained in the Bible. Desire does not imply incompleteness, it would be a part of completeness.

Let me suggest that you diligently study the Bible, in prayer, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. And to do this you must give yourself to Jesus Christ, and be Born in the Spirit. If you are willing to do this, you will understand the Holy Scriptures, and you will understand God. If you do not, all that the Scriptures, and God has to offer, will be non-sense to you, and you may someday find yourself face to face with a God, that you thought did not exist. And that would be most unfortunate for you.

God be with you,

Just because he is omnipotent and self sufficient dose not mean he has no wants.

Bill Gates certainly has no needs that he cannot fulfill, but he dose have wants. Among those are the desire to give to others.

God created humanity because he had a desire to give, and to give to someone that can appreciate the gift, even if they cannot reciprocate in measure.

At least this is how I see it. Am I right? Who knows...

Omniscient omnipotent God can have desires to bring certain things about. The fact that He is omiscient and omnipotent implies that He can bring about and have anything he desires. Just because he is allpowerful and allknowing doesn't mean that He is not a sentient Being with feelings and desires. Whatever He creates, He creates for his own purposes and it is not for us to guess what God's motives are. He never tells us why He did something. He only tells us that he did it and for his own purposes. We are his offspring the Bible says. And usually Fathers want their offspring to be like them and love and respect them. God created man after his image and likeness. That tells us that God has feelings.

God said "For this is my work and my glory: to bring to pass the Immortality and Eternal Life of man."

I've been saying that all along. If God is omniscient, omnipotent and invulnerable, "he" can be neither flattered nor intimidated. It is possible that benevolence can arise without either possibility, but such a "God" is never going to take "sides", or even perceive "conflicts" in creation. Whatever consciousness "God" might have would be nothing like ours. The image of God listening to and weighing individual prayers is quaint and petty. God either needs to be a lot bigger or to go away.

God can have no needs and wants. Those are human traits that have been imposed. God's Will is all that is happening. Once man gives his qualities to God, he gains what he "thinks" is free will. God's Will is for you to Know the Will.Every Moment is a chance to be in the Will, to Know the Will. That "IS" God's Will. Thinking covers the Will with man's illusionary will.

An omniscient, omnipotent, self-sufficient being would not need to create anything outside of itself. A perfect God is not possible, our existence proves that.

No, He doesn't. That's why you see so many people dying everyday!

Jokes aside, it is true He is complete but it is His nature to share His goodness and not keep it to Himself. If He did not do that we would accuse Him of being selfish like a billionaire who does not share a penny!

But we need to be equally willing to receive the goodness that He has to offer and show our willingness.

BINGO.

He also calls himself a Jealous God - and jealousy is hardly the hallmark of a perfect being.
