Did this change your mind about anything?
Did it give you any new thoughts or ideas?
Did you watch it all the way through and think it was clear?

It did not change my mind about anything.

I like the jug of milk analogy.

yes, I did watch it all the way through, and it was clear.

The video attacked only one aspect of the Christian faith. A true and mature Christian surrenders his will to God, and recognizes that prayer is a means of coming to know God's will for us. The video attacks an inmature view of Christian prayer. Christians are not like spoiled children who constantly ask their father for favors. No, we pray that we may come to know and accept God's will for us.

Peace be with you.

I turned the sound down on the video, and read the text -- since the 'video' was nothing more than a PowerPoint presentation, and being a "smart" Christian, I was able to read it for myself.

The video was a really sad exercise in high school philosophy. There are no "new thoughts or ideas" on the video.

The premise of the PowerPoint presentation begs the question, and makes the (erroneous) assumption that "God answers prayers." God has a plan. We aren't entitled to know what they plan is, and so we often have no idea HOW God answers prayers.

If people seriously have questions about prayer, why do they base their theology or lack of theology on seventh grade Sunday School classes?

Why don't they seriously read the writings of serious theologians, rather than simplistically scoff at other people they think are simplistic?

Read Thomas Aquinas, Detrick Bonhoeffer or even C.S. Lewis, and get back to me and we’ll have a serious conversation about aspects of prayer – not the childish rational of someone who lost interest in a third grade Sunday School class.

People like the producer of the PowerPoint video think they are so smart, because they've reasoned their way around a third grade idea, using faulty reasoning.

Godspeed.

I believe that if you have faith, anything can happen. That is what religion and everyone needs something they can rely on... with something to believe in it helps a person pursue what they really want.

Yes I did watch the video and yes it was clear... it all depends on what you believe and how you want to interpret or if you want to listen. A human's brain is a powerful thing however. The mind can do anything. God works to Christians like a small child's security blanket or an invisible friend. He gives us strength to carry on and be the best we can be.

I believe in many things. it all depends on what you need to move forward... and it may not make sense to anyone else. proving that God is the same as a jug of milk and merely an illusion is something science has been trying to do since time began... but you can not prove that miracles do not exist because they are miracles none the less.

No it didn't change my mind because it's not just as is illustrated in that youtube commentary. AND because some prayer does get answered right away, we know not just because it was answered (or came into fruition as you might say) but because of the way that it was answered. Most times when a prayer is answered you know it is better than that which you prayed for .... in each Christian walk it is more personal than all that which is said on this short illusion in itself.

It was clear enough. Clearly the person there has no faith, doesn't have a clue to the things that some of us do, that which cannot just be explained away. There are things that just cannot. Sometimes answered prayer is one of those things, the Holy spirit's power is quite another, if you haven't experienced it, you just don't know.

Didn't change my mind, I watched the whole thing, I've seen this persons other videos, and I can tell you that This person here is what you call nonsense. He is the illusionist at best, just trying to stir up something out of nothing.
My God, My Creator, My Heavenly Father does not answer prayers in Yes, No or Wait, His Will will Always be done. I don't question Him, don't feel the need to, I believe wholeheartedly that He does EXIST and I TRUST Him and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and No one can convince me that they do not exist.

First off-I did watch it all the way through. It made me smile to know that atheists are trying so very hard to encourage people not to believe in God and prayer.
It did change my mind a little. I believe even more firmly in God and prayer after seeing how you atheists are telling me not to.
The message was more than clear. For some reason you atheists find God and people that believe in Him to be a threat to you. Dont worry-I wont try to convert you. I will pray for you though because I still firmly believe in prayer. God still loves you too.

I watched about 4 minutes of it, and got really bored.

That clip is completely from an atheist's perspective. There's no way that's going to change the minds of Christians.

A jug of milk doesn't have super-natural-powers to answer prayers smart much.
