John 16:12-15


12 I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.

13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

Okay okay... #5-What seems to be the strongest evidence that contradicts the story of creation recorded in the Bible.
#6-Why is the evidence that supports the idea of the Flood especially important to Christians?

I don't understand the logic behind that.

'You killed my family, but I forgive you, my brother, because my mythological deity says I should, even though deep down I hate your guts, so I'll just put on a show of forgiving you because that's what jesus would do, at least according to the interpretations of the bible that someone in my community convinced me of as being the truth."

Something like that?

Seems a bit insincere if you ask me.

there is this guy who came into my work and he started about religion and about how muslims are taking over and how the aryan race need to keep reproducing so they aren't taken over (i am blonde hair, blue eyed so he always talks to me). He was talking about how they are terrible people and he was also talking about how they have a terrible religion and they are violent.
I couldn't even believe this and i didn't know what to say. This was the worst thing i had ever heard.
What should i say to him. he comes in all of the time

We've all got a story about the how, when and why we invited Jesus Christ into our hearts. What's your story?

Mine in a nutshell: I was an outcast teen who's agnostic family moved her from place to place. Just as I would start to get settled in with a group of friends. BAM! my parents would sit me down and tell me we were moving (an no my dad wasn't in the military). I attended 3 high schools in 4 years. Jesus was the only steady friend I ever had growing up because pen pal friendship would fizzle out after 6 months. Christians were easy to find and universally accepting of me from day 1 (in each new home town). Did I question my Christian beliefs? Absolutely. Did the concept of Hell bother me? absolutely but I also know that if I died this moment I wouldn't be going there.

So my brothers and sisters in Christ, what's your story?

Hey my daughter is 13 and she and her friends are planning a huge hallowwen party (150 people [boys and girls] plus guests of those invited). We are renting a DJ for the night, is there anything else that's not too "dorky" (dorky, in my daughters words, being musical chairs, bobbing for apples, etc) that would liven up the party? Decoration ideas, things to do, games, etc, anything at all would be a great help!

Prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri (say her name out loud) has argued that evolution is a hoax. After spending several years studying chimpanzees, she discovered that a majority of chimps support the theory of evolution.

The chimps claim that they support evolution because of its logical basis and sound scientific reasoning. However, Em Adjineri discovered that the chimps secretly support evolution because it establishes a genetic link between chimps and humans, making us "cousins."

Chimps plan to use this relationship as our "cousins" to call us asking for money or for a place to stay rent-free for a while. It is their insidious plan to use their relationship to us to exploit our kindness towards family. They also plan to try and edge their way in on our inheritances, thanks to their cuteness.

Doesn't this prove that evolution is a hoax concocted by a cabal of conniving chimpanzees?

I ask because,
My dad has just lost his business, my parents are devorcing, money is getting tight, my family has to move, and my dad now has a drinking problem.
by the way, that has happened to all my cousins... around the same time (Aka: Their dad's loosing thier businesses, parents devorcing etc.)

Other things that have been happening:
- I have had feelings spirits have been watching me when I sleep, and some times I can see black shadows swoosh by in the mirrors. Thanks to that I now cover up all the mirrors.
(Also I heard dogs can sence evil... Ever since this bad luck thing my dog has been shaking and wont stop.)

- My grandma almost had a heart attack

- I've been having dreams... but can't remember them until I see something that joggs my memory (I've read this is one of the side affects of being cursed)

And so much more has been happening.
I swear I am not lying.
Infact this has been really freaking me out.

Do you think this is a bad luck spell?

by pain and death (like he does regularly) those who don't obey him?

Keep in mind in this hypothetical situation, that he is God, meaning no one is higher than him and he demonstrates that he is God via miracles, prophecies, including the miracle of wiping out say, an army of thousands with superior weapons and military experience with a few hundred shephards using oversized spears which they shouldn't be able to even lift up.

I ask because I saw Gazoo make a snide remark about the Holocaust being right in line with God, whatever that actually meant.

Ok so I've been having this debate for a while but since I'm neither black nor african american It's probably sensible to get some other opinions. I personally think it's about time we start calling people with black skin black again and stop with the African American joke. Not everyone with black skin is of African decent, and more importantly I'm pretty sure people who's families have been American for generations don't always consider themselves to be of African heritage so much as just average americans who happen to have black skin. The only thing that all black people have in common is the color of their skin and that's not a bad thing. I'm white, I'm not ashamed to be white and I don't need to be called a "European Australian" I'm just white... a black person is black and if there were blue people they'd be blue, it's just a color.

I'm hoping that in a community of intellectuals this isn't going to spark a racist response. It's just a point of curiosity

I've been doing a little study tonight in R&S, and almost every single Christian who answered my questions would rather neglect their children and let them grow up without a parent than denounce their religion (even if it was just for a moment and they didn't really mean it). What does this say about Christianity? Sure, your faith is strong. And maybe, MAYBE you'll wind up in Heaven and see your family again there. But I find it SICK that Christians possess such a raging sense of irresponsibility! If this is truly how you think, could you at least please stop having children?

Hypothetically, if Satan were to appear and take control of the world, and you could tell it was him because he had an irrational hatred of Christians and did not want to let any of them live unless they recanted, regardless of whether or not they obey Christ much, and was performing astounding mental feats and made a living image of himself from what appeared to be dirt, would you:

1. Voluntarily worship him if he asked?

2. Worship him if threatened you with torture, inculding starvation, imprisonment or a horrible death?

3. If he demanded that you report the whereabouts of any Christians who were not in a prison city or camp like they were required to be, or who did not have a certain mark on them indicating that they were Christians, would you comply in the face severe punishment or say nothing as long as your neighbors didn't care and the police hardly ever came around?

4. Would you aid any Christians in any way in such a situation as long as it didn't endanger you?

I had problems earlier with my thoughts i was thinking what i thought to be blasphemous thoughts against the holy spirit. I one night a long time ago when I was 16 I was filled with the holy spirit
Promised the lord that I would say on think such things I had this thought in my head asking me if i thought it was weird how pentecostal people pray in tongues and I thought yes and i made fun of it just then I haven't felt his presents in years and I kept having the same problem ever since till now I've been praying for help for a long time Has God Forsaken Me?

Okay check this out. Its this woman (Way older than I am) that I think may be attracted to me. I always catch her staring at me and smiling and im not talking about every now and then its like ALL the time. Well I was walking to my car w/ my uncle and she was standing w/ a group of women and I saw her point at me and told them “isn’t she so pretty”. I just smiled and walked away. Also while I was coming into a building (this happened like 3 times) she says you are such a beautiful girl and all. Well yesterday she said it again and im like wow. I also notice that when she looks at me its more of like a “damn” type of stare that you mostly do when you checking out someone. She constantly looks back at me all through the lecture and just smiles. Ive never really been attracted to women and all but her admiring me got me thinking crazy! O yea she’s like 30-36 yrs. Old and im just 16 but look pretty mature. one more thing all of her fam is married, ive never ever seen her w/ a man b4. so my question is…have you ever been attracted to someone much younger or older than you.

GEEZE it's not a race issue, It is the fact that he harmed dogs, THAT ARENT EVEN HUMAN BY THE WAY!!!

I THINK HE SHOULD BE PUNISHED. But jail time? That's just ridiculous. I know people that hunt for game and they don't get convicted for killing an animals. PEOPLE CAN'T HUNT HUMANS!! THAT IS MURDER. IT'S JUST AN ANIMAL GEEZE. You shouldn't take his race into account. When I watched "Animal Rescue", no one blew any of those incidents out of proportion.
