Please, serious answers, from Christians.....I myself would probably try stripping or want to become a Playboy Bunny just to see what it is like......I know I am telling TMI, but "almost" everyone has some kind of sinful want or pleasure they would be indulging in if it wasn't for the power of Jesus..........I am just curious to what yours would be or what situation you would be in and/or have actually been in if Jesus never was or came into your life.

Red...what trick? This is a sincere question....I am just curious. I just want to know if there is anyone out there who has a want that they are not willing to go pursue because of their love for Jesus! What trick is there to that?

Ms. Taurus....I was not trying to say anything like that! That is why I asked for ONLY CHRISTIANS to answer my question, because I knew someone would take it as me trying to prove that everyone that does not believe in Jesus is immoral and irrational human beings! No...I am only interested in knowing that there are people out there like me who would be in a worse place in their lives without HIM, because Jesus has saved me from myself time and time again....I just want to hear stories of the same.....thanks anyway for your answer.

Too all the non-believers who obviously cannot read.........the same thing to you as I said to Ms. Taurus.......even though you probably won't get it, because again you have reading comprehension problems! How do I know this? Oh, maybe because I said Christians Only...yet, here you are giving me answers that I did not want to begin with, but like I said previously...Thanks anyway! How's that for turning the other cheek?

SpiderDijon.....I am only wanting life stories from Christians, but thanks anyway.......this is not bias, seeing as how this is the Religion and Sprirituality section and not the Wanting Opinions of Every Religion section......I have the right to wanting only Christian answers, just as you have the right to ingnore the fact that I asked for only Christian answers. Oh, F.Y.I. being a "good" person does not excuse you for being a non-believer in HIS eyes! You are considered "Good" in who's eyes....man's? You are crazy enough to put your and your family's fate in man's hands? No one is perfect, so no one is considered "Good"! You might be "Good" compared to your alcoholic neighbor who lives nextdoor or your prostitute cousin who doesn't take care of her kids, but compared to the Lord?
Who do you think you are? Jesus?
Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior is the only way to save your soul!
Oh, I have the right to say this, just as you have the right to disagree.

You say, "Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior is the only way to save your soul!" But what proof have you offered? Your rather suspect testimonial? Your religious book, the Bible? This book can only be characterized as a highly revised, poorly translated, poorly compiled list of mythic stories that were actually quite common among many of the primitive religions of the Middle East. And it's all fiction. No history. No truth. What do you have left then to even prove your fantasy hero, Jesus, even existed? Nothing. You can't prove he existed, much less that anything written about him actually happened, much less that he was the only child of some cosmic hobgoblin, god.
You say, "Oh, F.Y.I. being a "good" person does not excuse you for being a non-believer in HIS eyes!" Clearly then, given your sheer intolerance of others, being a believer in no way makes you a good person. Think of all the believers in the South who were perfectly comfortable with slavery and with lynching poor African-americans. Think of all the believers in Germany who were just certain that exterminating 6 million jews was "pleasing to the lord." Think of all the ministers and priests and preachers who have no problem molesting children. Think of all the blood-thirsty believers in the U.S. right now who are thrilled about all Iraqi women and children that have been raped and/or murdered by our occupation forces. They can believe what they like, but I will tell you that they are evil, every single one of them.
You asked for "ONLY CHRISTIANS" because you only want the bland, happy answers that confirm the propaganda that you embrace. Had you been remotely interested in a complete perspective, you would have asked for comments from all sides, both pro and con. You are only interested in hearing what you want to hear. You apparently don't give a fig for hearing the truth.
You say, "I just want to know if there is anyone out there who has a want that they are not willing to go pursue because of their love for Jesus." What a copout!! People who are too afraid to fall on their faces so they can put off doing anything important in their lives by calling it a sin and claiming they are "living for Jesus." Stripping is hard work: can we really believe that you have what it takes? I think not.
The REAL ANSWER that you definitely don't want for your trifling question is: Religion is a big con; the followers are little more than dupes and slaves. Nothing will ensure success and happiness in life like freeing one's mind from arbitrary, primitive dogma; irrational beliefs, and ridiculous superstitions. Use your mind. THINK.

well, i'm not a christian, but this is what i'm doing with my life: i work a full time job that i like in the natural stone business. i have a one year old daughter that is the most amazing person i've ever met. i have a husband that works in advertising and makes a good living. i'm a talented musician, artist, mother, writer, speaker, and friend. i've never been in porn, killed anyone or anything for that matter. i have a college degree from an accredited university where i graduated with honors. i'm a non-believer and i don't find myself hedonistic in any form of the term. just because someone doesn't have jesus in their life doesn't make them a bad person or a non-functioning member of society. also to specify that only chritians answer this question is sort of biased because you alredy know what most christians will say.

No where good that's for sure!
When I came to Christ, I was pregnant with an illegitimate child. I had lost all hope in myself and my future. No one in my family was offering me any encouragement either, so if I was hadn't committed suicide by now, I would be on drugs, on the street, in jail, or in a mental home suffering from depression.
My only regrets in life from that point on are the times when I know God was telling me to do something, and I didn't; or He told me NOT to do something that I ended up doing any way.

I'd be right where I am now. See, most of those "christian" rules of morality are of sexist origin, new (like, turn-of-the-20th-century new), or false. For instance, in christ's day, marriage was a legal contract essentially giving a woman away to her husband from her father's possesion, and rarely had anything to do with love.
Also, virginity/faithfullness was only sought from women, as it was the only way to make sure your male heir was in fact YOUR male heir. Men could, and did, screw whomever they wanted, but un-virgin women were often killed as "adulterers".
So yeah, Christ was above all that. He wouldn't care what you did for a living, so long as you were happy and no one got hurt. Same with my life, my lover, politics and career.

Seriously, I don't want to imagine what my life would be like if I weren't a Christian. I accepted Christ at age 26, and before that my life was a huge void that I tried to fill with alcohol, drugs, and sex. Nothing made me happy. Christ changed my life completely and I can't express how thankful I am for that. I feel as if my life has purpose now because I have dedicated it to Him. I live and pray every day for Him to allow me to serve Him by serving others, I look for any opportunity I can find to do something to glorify Him. I do this not in the belief that I have to earn salvation. That was given to me, free and clear. I do this to show my gratitude for my salvation.
Feeling tempted is normal, but please don't play around with something that could cost you your closeness with Christ. Knowing you're forgiven for whatever sins you have committed or will commit doesn't give you license to do whatever you want.

Well, many years ago, before I was saved, I was an alcoholic, and into drugs. I led a very sinful, lustful, disgusting life.
But, now I'm washed in the blood of the Lamb! I can't imagine EVER wanting that life again. I have blocked it out of my memory, because God forgives, then casts your sin into the sea, never to be remembered again, and that's what we need to do also. Not to look back, like Lot's wife, who turned into a pillar of salt, but to look upward to the Lord, and focus our lives on Him and Him alone. Everything else will fall into place. God Bless!

Dead and in hell.
As an atheist, I sat down to read the Bible and prove it wrong.
I had "everything" this life has to offer...but deep down was "missing something"...
And I believe, had I continued as an atheist, I would have eventually been overcome with the "meaninglessness" of life (as the Preacher did in Ecclesisates)...and would have lost all hope for true love, joy, and peace...
At which point, with no hope, I would have likely fallen deeper and deeper into a pit of depression.
And then, to end such misery...I would have likely killed myself. It would have been a very "logical", and even emotionless and apathetic decision...
For if, as an atheist, an eternity of "nothingness" awaits me...what difference does it make in eternity whether I were to die today...or in so many years after succumbing to a miserable and likely painful death, like cancer...
-
But...God had other purposes for me!
Praise His Name!

Grace and peace be with you!

I don't consider my self a devout holy roller christian. I was born and raised catholic. I don't go to church, I do pray every night as I go to bed. I wouldn't become a stripper, or bunny or sinful other thing. I would be just the way I am today, without the prayer at night. I don't think my religion makes me a good person, I think I make me a good person, the religion just reinforces who I am.

I have no clue, but I'm very sure it wouldn't be where I am right now. I'd probably be on my second marriage at least and I probably would not have been nearly as successfuly financially. Because I tithe, my financial situation has taken care of itself - it's a very strong promise from Malachi 3:10 that I have tested for many years with 100% success rate.
