I'm afraid that I finally have to disagree with Em Adjineri on this one, I think it would be effing awesome to have a chimp living at my house. He he, monkeys like bannans.
Holy crap, I think I've got something! According to Kirk Cameron, bannanas are designed for our hands by god (not selective breeding and domestication, or anything crazy like that). It's also well known that monkeys like bannanas. Designed. Monkeys. Coincendence? Maybe the evolutards ARE right! GAHHHH!!....

They just hate evolution because it proves that the Genesis creation story isn't literally true (or true in any sense probably, though I'm sure you can use it as a metaphor or draw lessons from it like you would from aesops fables.) But don't look down on creationists, they are taught a false straw man version of evolution, then the educators knock that down, and they think that evolution is false, but it is really only the false misunderstood version of evolution they built up in their heads that is false. I suppose another word for it would be brainwashing, except that it isnt intentional in the sense that the educators really believe it themselves. But yeah, the whole denying evolution is based off of ignorance of what the real theory actually says. If there is an evolution denier reading this, please research the theory from non religious sources. I used to be a young earth creationist, but the real theory (the one they don't teach you in christian school or church) is actually very solid supported by a vast amount of evidence. EDIT: many of the evolution deniers I am reading about here are using the seemingly smart but fallacious arguments that I was taught when I was a young earth creationist... Really guys, I encourage you to research the actual theory instead of spouting information from a creationist website. It really is solid. Read (I know you hate this guy) Richard Dawkins' book "The Greatest Show on Earth" and some other evolution books. They will clear up some common misconceptions you may have received from young earth creationists.

Evolution is a theory based on someones idea of what might be possible. Its up to you if you find it believable enough to satisfy your own curiosity. Consider this??? ALL life on this planet could have been put here as refuges from distant dying planets because it could sustain a huge variety of living things.. A cosmic Noah's Arc if you like!!

No, but a group of humans who believe themselved to be evolved apes developed the theory of evolution. Unfortunately, no real evidence for the theory has been found to explain abiogenisis or macroevolution. Yet, from US public schools and Universities, the mistaken theory is taught as if it is fact. Sounds more like humans behaving as chimpanzees than the other way around.

Although I'm sure you meant this question as a joke, it's interesting: anyone with half a brain can see that evolution is true, and in fact it goes along with all religions. If Noah only took two of each kind of animal in the ark, how did we get all these animals? I work at a dog kennel, so I should know. Evolution only works inside of species, but nonetheless it is existent.

"Evolution is a 'theory', just like gravity. If you don't like it, go jump off a bridge."
"Why does the media insist on calling intelligent design an 'alternative' to the theory of evolution ? That's like saying pancakes are a good alternative to an internal combustion engine."
"The creationists have this creator who is evil, who is small-minded, who is malevolent, and who is not very bright and can't even get his science right. Creationists have made their creator in their own image, in my view." — Ian Plimer, The Skeptic.
The alternative to evolution is that the universe was created by the Flying Spaghetti Monster, who created evidence to make it appear as if lifeforms evolved on Earth, for his amusement.

well you could say that it is a hoax based on the number of people that answer this honestly and won't get the Em Adjineri part. Or based on the fact the question was even asked.
