#5 Depends on the definition of creationism. You could include the fact that rocks were dated to 4.2 billions years ago (or so), which would ruin young earth creationism (that the earth was created a short time ago, not just people). If you were to go with just people creationism, I would go with transitional fossils (which do exist, just do a search). They tend to contradict creationism, along with animals having evolved at different times in history, not appearing all at once.

#6 Not being a Christian, I wouldn't know, so I won't give you my opinion.

Science makes NO ATTEMPT to dicredit or contradict the bible, it only describes the natural world.
Therefore ANY percieved inconsistancy with the bible is purely from a religious perspective, as science has no opinion or interest in religion.

The most obvious differences might be the timelines [6000 v 4.6 billion years], and spontanious creation v evolution..

Mainstream scientific descriptions of the natural world are VERIFIABLE, where as biblical accounts are almost exclusively NOT verifiable and without evidence, but instead require faith. How convenient..!

Regarding "the flood", there is plenty of evidence to show that the Mediterranean has flooded and receeded numerous times, which explains the high salt concentrations.

Also Tsunamis caused by geological activity are known to have occurred in these regions, and might also account for stories regarding the "parting of the seas", "the flood" and so on..

The "flood" accounts no doubt stem from one of these, where the "grapevine" effect in story telling coupled with bronze age superstition eventually evolved into biblical accounts..

Makes complete sense doesn't it..?
Do some unbiased research..

I really do not feel OR think that the flood is an important occurance in the light of my salvation with Jesus.

I do think that it is an example of the redemption plan that God had all along told in one of the many ways God communicates. There are several things to note that makes it rather obvious to the believer.

#5 I cannot help you there.

#6 The evidence that Jesus Christ was foretold in the flood story.

Well they have all plants being created before the Sun for starters. I mean plants sort of use the Sun to eat and live.

My opinion is you should do your own homework. That way, you'll have a shot at something besides, "hello, may I take your order sir?"
