I went to prison and forgave the man who killed my brother and tried to kill me.

This is an easy one - Micheal, I forgive you. Do you forgive him?

Of course I forgive him.

I believe that before you can forgive someone, they must actually be sorry for what they did. You can let go of the emotion and release it, but it isn't real forgiveness if they didn't repent first. I don't believe that Michael Vick really believes that he did anything wrong or understands that dog fighting is vicious and barbaric. If I am proved wrong, then I hope he gets forgiveness and a second chance.

It is not up to us to forgive him.

He didn't harm us, he didn't hang us or drown us, he wasn't involved in torturing us so that because all we wanted was to love and serve him we went into fighting rings and ripped the flesh off of other animals and returned to him for praise.

Only the victims can forgive Michael Vick, and the God that he says he has recently met.

Harsh? Maybe. I cannot abide the kind of malicious hideous behavior he participated in.

I have too since i am a christian but i cant forget what he did to those poor animals and how he tortured and killed them and then he gets on the news today and says he let the kids down, my boys are brought up in a church and they asked me to bury their m.vicks jerseys in the ground and i said why and they said because they want the dogs he killed to wear his jerseys for when mv gets to heaven they know that he isnt a bad man and they forgive him. and that is out of the words of a 9-6yr old and doesnt get much deeper than that.

I forgive Micheal Vick, but I don't forgive Michael Vick.

It's not my place to forgive him, because I don't know him, nor do I know any more of the situation than what is said in the media.

From what I can tell, being involved in a six-year dogfighting operation and investing several hundred thousand dollars isn't something that deserves instant forgiveness.

He knew that what he was doing was wrong and continued to do it.

Nope wont forgive him. He can take the punishment a judge thinks he deserves and redeem himself with more than words like doing charitable things like working in an animal shelter for abused animals then maybe I'll forgive him.

Has he learned his lesson? Or is he just saying the "right" things right now because he was caught? I don't know, I can't answer that question. If he isn't sincere about his apology how can I forgive him? I think I will eventually, but frankly I think its to soon and I don't think he is sincere, yet.

Absolutely, forgiveness is good. And to prove that there's no hard feelings I'd pour beef stew on his nads and allow a pack of hungry pit bulls to forgive him.

Any person who fights dogs, roosters, etc.... They don't deserve to share the same oxygen as decent people! If he held his breath for about 45 min, and had a harmless funoodle taped to his hand, dumped in the pit with all the animals he had on his property, and given shocks every few seconds to appear to be a threat to them, I'D LOVE IT!
