hews (without the 's' at the end it sounds very much like 'you' - like 'jews' but with an 'h' - think of words with a silent 'gh' like 'through (threw)'

One of my professors was "Dr. Ng" - he prounounced his name "ing" like the ending of an English noun or verb such as "walking."
