The Egyptians were scholars of astrology and discovered the 0. (If you don't think that is impressive talk to a mathmatician)
Philosophy and modern medicine. Every heard of thy Hypocratic oath? That was a Greek guy. They were Pagans.
Sumerians (Pagan) are the founders of the first forms of writing ever found.
These cultures fell because of Christianity. Constantine most likely burned down the Library of Alexandria because it was "pagan". He banned all books but the Bible, cutting people off rather effectivly from any of that found knowledge. Constatine banned artist using thier talent preaching "vanity" effectively smothering art. He banned bathing as a "pagan" practice.
This is the roots of Christianity. Sure some pagans were illiterate, but so were most Christians in the dark ages. So why do people think ancient Pagans were so stupid?

If i want God to help me with something little, all I do is pray, and if I have enough faith at that moment, it usually works. But for the past 3 years I have wanted o so desperatly to move back to ireland. The problem is-my mum wont go back!!! I need something to make her go back. If I dont move back soon..i will end up giving on life. I cant eat sometimes, cant sleep properly. I actually have to cry myself to sleep every night so that the next morning i wont feel so depressed coz i will have let it out.
I hate school...im very shy and nervous here in england, but in ireland i am so so so happy. If I lived there i would be the happiest person on earth, but i cant tell that to my mum and dad. They just shout at me and tell me to stop obsessing. But its all i want. I know that when im 18 i can go back myself but i want my family to come too. My dad would live there tomorrow if my mum would. So would my brother. can somebody with faith please ask God to let me and my family move back?? x

It seems to me that a LOT of people these days are one or more of the following: fat, stupid, ugly, stinky, stuck-up, crazy, pschotic, depressed, slutty, egotistical, self-centered, hateful, caustic, unfaithful, unkind, uncaring, unwilling, emotional basket cases, and/or damaged goods...

yet a lot of people still want to have them and THINK(wrongfully so...) that they will be good parents...

but after everything is said and done they will likely raise kids that are just as stupid, ugly, and unworthy but yet will be spoiled like they are something special

I mean, that's one heck of a commitment to make without seeing the place first. We are all aware that when you're looking for a house through the classifieds it's always a good idea to go check out the place before you sign on the dotted line. You may also want to have others check it out as well, to catch the things you may miss on your own.

Christians, before you say that the only other destination is hell, please be reminded that Apple says that THEIR computers are better than the competitions as well, that's how they entice people to check out and buy into their merchandise. A used car salesman will tell you his used cars are better than the guy down the street. A preacher will tell you that his church is better than the other church in the area. It's always best to check it out yourself before you commit.

So, if I were to decide to buy into a place in heaven is there a way I could check it out and make sure its better than the other destinations of the other religions?

When churchgoers who love their church and feel that there is nowhere else to go, discover that the church leaders are transgressing the word by going beyond what is taught in the Holy Bible by virtually forbidding higher education -- what should they do?

Especially, when over the years this policy has caused tremendous hardship on the young, even poverty -- thus making many leave the church and lose their faith -- this question becomes important.

What are the options of the church members when the top has so isolated itself and sits in ivory towers that know no hardships of the world?

Imagine theres´s no heaven
It´s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there´s no countries
It isn´t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too

Imagine all the people
Living in peace

You may say I´m a dreamer
But I´m not the only one
I hope someday you´ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No greed or hunger
A brotherwood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say I´m a dreamer
But I´m not the only one
I hope someday you´ll join us
And the world will be as one

Was Jhon Lenon the only on dreamer?

Who else is dreaming like Jhon Lenon?

I have known I was gay since a very early age, and I know it is not something I chose to be, it is just something that I AM! However, how could this be something that I am, if it is wrong to be gay? I was raised in the UPCI, and feel that I agree with this faith, however I don't agree with their opinion on homosexuality. How can I continue to have this as my religion? Is there somewhere else I can go to church that believes the same way as UPCI, but will accept me. Thank you for all honest answers. God bless you, have a great day!

I'm just curious because I can't imagine a person who believes and accepts Christ yet goes out a commits a heinous crime such as rape or murder can be saved.

We know from records that thousands of Jews were crucified by the Romans. Only one body has only ever been dug up. Why?

Its is because the Romans would leave the body nailed to the wood.

This is why Jesus has no grave. the gospel accounts are fictional fabrications made many decades later for theological purposes.

I am no longer going to church b/c I found that the ppl who called themselves "Christians" were hypocrites. They had all types of addictions, affairs and they didn't practice what they preached. The worst part is they didn't forgive other for their trespasses even when ppl will say they are sorry.

Anyone notice this or is it just me?

Why do Catholics pray to the Virgin Mary?
If your not allowed to have grave and images, Why do you have crucifixes and statues?
And if your not allowed to have idols, Why do you worship them?
I'm being serious I would like to know.

I believe that all people cross our paths with purpose, that there are no chance meetings and that we have something to learn from everyone who touches our lives, as they can learn from us.

Essentially, I am asking the oldest question ever: which came first, the chicken or the egg? When someone comes into your life, how do you know who is supposed to learn what from whom? How do you reduce your ego so that you might ensure you learn what needs to be learned from someone when they came to you specifically to study what you know?

What steps do you take to not waste that moment?

Fear of oppostion or ridicule can weaken our witness:
A firm belief of the doctrine of God's universal providence, & the extent of it, would satisfy us when in peril, & encourage us to trust God in the way of duty. Providence takes notice of the meanest creatures, even of the sparrows, & therefore of the smallest interests of the disciples of Christ. Those who confess Christ now, shall be owned by him in the great day, before the angels of God. To deter us from denying Christ, & deserting his truths & ways, we are here assured
that those who deny Christ, though they may thus save life itself, & though they may gain a kingdom by it, will be great losers at last; for Christ will not know them, will not own them, nor show them favour. But let no trembling, penitent backslider doubt of obtaining forgiveness. This is far different from the determined enmity that is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, which shall never be forgiven, because it will never be repented of. Luke12:13-21
