If you are Atheist/Agnostic the question is: If there was a being who was all knowing and all seeing that existed through all time, what would existence look like through it's eyes?

It's still illegal to kill people. Still illegal to molest children. We have changed none of the "moral" laws.
I hate to clue people in, but prayer is still allowed at school, it just can't be school sponsered on school time. What's wrong with that? No one is forcing you to stop your religion, just to not impose it on others. How is that attacking your personal morals?

The "morning star" is the brightest sentinel of the night sky. People of the distant past depended upon the stars for guidance. They were largely obligated to astronomical patterns for both seasonal and directional guidance. Today's sophisticated radios, computers, and radar have taken us far beyond the light of stars, but our fascination with Stars remain.

What are some ways the "morning star" mirrors the ministry of our Lord.

Revelation 22:16
"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the "BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR".

What are your thoughts on this verse?

Pick one of the two options.

I borrowed/stole this question from brilliant right-wing propagandist Stephen Colbert. (Yes, I know)

It seems that other countries blame us for most everything, but we are always there to help when they need us. I know the war in Iraq has not made us any friends, but people have hated us way before that. I would like to hear what you think. Thanks.

Is it possible for two people to alternate every other day in saying that they know that the next day is "the day" ?

I know this sounds goofy, but when I was young, I figured that the way I could avoid the 2nd coming of Christ was to say the the day I was in was the day I thought he was coming.
I would say this to "postpone" the Apocalypse. I was only 5 or six at the time but as an adult now, I wonder if this theory is correct. Being such a small and naive child at the time had me thinking of a way to avoid having so many people perish.

I have yet to meet a pastor/preacher who could answer this.

My husband is in the Army and we have been transferred to a location that I cannot say, and there are no Catholic Churches in the area but an Anglican Church, a person I met who is also a Catholic said she goes to that Church as it is the same as a Catholic Church and receives Holy Communion

Is this allowed or not?

High school was the worst time of my life, and I didn't graduate, so I don't get invitations to reunions. Although I'm now living in my hometown again, I wouldn't know one of my classmates if I were to run into him or her on the street.

My sister goes to reunions and says occasionally someone will ask about me, but basically it's a closed chapter. There is only one person I miss, and we stayed close until I moved away.

Immense, unstoppable, furious, mighty.
Why does He love us?
We don’t deserve it, but we need it.
Imagine a world without His love.
No kindness, no light, no warmth
Just dark, endless cold darkness stretching into eternity.
But He loves us, wants us..even likes us? Hard to believe but its true.
He wants to save us, save us from our selves. But there’s only one way.
It will cost so much….Yet He chooses it
A pinprick of light in the dark.
A star above a stable, piercing the night’s sky.
A host of heavenly angels, lovingly addressing a group of simple shepherds.
The chasm is closing, the gap between man and God is being bridged.
Through a baby. A normal insignificant baby.
The power, majesty and might of God concealed within an crying infant.
O but what a price. Nails in His hands, spear in His side, a crown of thorns upon His head.
The throne of heaven exchanged for a crude, wooden cross.
And as the jeers, catcalls and cheers surround Him, he is silent, thinking only of them, His children.
As He shoulders their sin, their transgressions, their iniquities, His Father weeps.,
Knowing what He must do and so.. He pours out His wrath, His fury, His anger on His only begotten Son.
There, on a cross, surrounded by thieves the Prince of Glory cries “It is finished!“
And He dies, dies for us.
He suffered this for you..what have you done for Him?

In many countries, most folk can speak many languages. If they are educated, they can really speak another language. When a foreigner viisits the USA, we talk with him/her in English and expects him/her to understand. Even when it is obvious that the person does not understand, we continue to speak as though he/she does. In other words, we are ethnocentric in our view on the world. In essence, we are saying everyone should speak English, and he/she is stupid if he/she cannot. We live in America. America is NOT the USA; it is Canada all the way down to the tip of Argentina. America's languages are English, Spanish, French and a few others.
When foreigners from Europe and Asia come here, they assume that educated folk speak more than one language. Why are we not bilingual, at lease in English/Spanish.

No hate please!!! A black is asking the question, not hispanic. Do not respond with anti-Mexican rhetoric. I am anticipating serious responses.

don't you think it makes sense to subsidize condoms instead of subsidizing people's children that they can't afford to care for?

I am seeking here to clarify the teachings of the Koran. Does the Koran teach that given a position of power Muslims should impose Islam ? Would they be tolerant and allow democracy to rule ? The contrast here is with America, where Christianity is dominant, but America is not a Theocracy, though admittedly some Christians there would like it to be. The Bible does not have a lot to say about the State and governance whereas the Koran appears to have a lot to say about it. Am I right in saying that Christianity is all about the individual whereas Islam is all about power and control of communities.

Last night, my friend told me that someone had broken into her friend's car, & had stolen her debit card, & her friend's purse. They reported the situation to the police, and later that afternoon, the police revealed to them that they'd found the people that had taken their things. It turns out, that it was a homeless couple that had done this... My friend said they'd gone to Wal Mart, and bought 100 dollars worth of things...but the ONLY thing they'd bought was food. They basically wanted something to eat, & that's what the police found them doing. Now my friend has a dilemma. The money will be returned to her debit card; however, she doesn't know if she should press charges or not. I told her I don't know what i'd do because I honestly don't. She is torn between compassion,&the desire to prevent them from going& doing this to others. I find this situation intriguing&also very sad.... I told her to do what she thought was best. Faced with the same situation, what would you do?

My family goes to church on Sundays but I stay home. It's my free alone time so I tend to masterbate. I don't want to go to hell but I don't really believe in God. I used to attend church with my family until I lost belief in God. I have seen awful things happen to good people and I have lost faith. I don't understand why those who do good in this world have heartaches happen to them or illnesses.
