We know from records that thousands of Jews were crucified by the Romans. Only one body has only ever been dug up. Why?

Its is because the Romans would leave the body nailed to the wood.

This is why Jesus has no grave. the gospel accounts are fictional fabrications made many decades later for theological purposes.

Jesus knew the fate of the crucified. This is why he said 'where the body the vultures gather'

The plot was that his closest followers would claim that they had seen him ressurrected.

Nice copy/paste job from Dominic Crossan.

However, despite the "pop religion" works spewed out by the Jesus seminar, there isn't actually historical evidence to back it up. The Jesus Seminar is notorious for going massively too far down the minimalist road, such that they've essentially speculated a new gospel into existence.

Textcritical analysis is fine and everything, but one of the most important aspects of a scientific experiment in the lab is "scientific error" - your results cannot be more precise than the experimental data, when calculated down. Since the Jesus Seminar essentially deletes the entire gospel (other than the phrase "A prophet is without honour only in their own country"), that means the scientific error factor in their efforts is near absolute.

Leaving their conclusions nearly worthless.

I know the resurrected Jesus ascended bodily into heaven. Hundreds bore witness to the event. There was no body of Jesus in the grave after the third day because he rose again.

Please don't generalize specific events in history. It just shows the world how much you have not read. It would be like claiming Julius Caesar died in the Gallic wars because so many ancient soldiers died there. The conclusion does not jive with specific recorded history.

Oh, don't be silly. How could he have been devoured by dogs and vultures? christians have been eating him, bit-by-bit, for almost 2,000 years. That does raise an interesting question, though... what are christians going to do after they've finished him off? After he's all gone? There can't be much left, by now... hundreds of millions of christians... couple thousand years. Even if they were only eating him cell-by-cell... dang... what if they finished him off hundreds of years ago? What have they been eating since then? [shiver....] This whole idea of ritualized cannibalism gives me the creeps.

You're right about the Roman's leaving the bodies on the cross. I learned decades ago in Sunday school that Jesus's followers took him down and buried him... not the Romans. Nice try though.

Jesus was never purported to have a grave but a tomb. And your prejudice notwithstanding, I don't care either way, btu Jewish families would ROUTINELY take down their dead from the crosses at alloted times and entomb them. Watch Rome to see some of this. Do some research.

A documentry showed that he could not have been nailed in the palms of his hands...they wouldn't have supported the weight. He had to nailed at the wrist. Also they

Jesus was wrapped in linen and Placed in a tomb...he was never buried, they way egyptions used to bury their dead.

Really...where do you get your information from? I couldn't find that anywhere in the Bible. Do you have a real source??? Pls post it. Or are you just stirring the pot with your biased opinions?

The Bible is a true account. So true that many movies have depicted it over and over. Word of mouth was the book and the apostles who were inspired to write the Word had first hand accounts. It says that His bones were not broken and prophecy was fulfilled. He died and conquered hell for you friend, then went into heaven that you too might find peace in eternity.

The bible is simply a rip off of Egyptian texts anyways. And Jesus is only basically the spokesperson of the currentlphase of the stars.
