I don't mean any offense to blondes, but why is blonde hair so overrated in the white American culture? I went to my aunt's wedding, and her husband's brother in law was (jokingly) remarking to his son to "let the blondes come in free" and charge everyone else. I see the same thing when my aunt had a baby (son), there were so many remarks about "checking out the blondes this" and "blonde babes" that. Even on TV, the main character (of any race) when he's with a white woman 80% of the time she's blonde. I'm just curious why is blonde hair so prized in the white American community? Again, I have nothing against it, but there are brunettes, redheads, and dark-haired women who are equally as beautiful as well. And most of the blondes that are prized are fake blondes, not natural ones.

OR luv of God AND luv of country? Or just luv of country? Or luv of something entirely different?

I'm curious about patriotism as opposed to or in co-operation with faith. Or if faith is not an issue OR if patriotism isn't an issue for you.

I recently discovered someone invaded my privacy by looking through some personal papers of mine that contained my personal writing projects (i.e. thesis). Why would someone do this to me especially when this is a someone I barely know? This person also had the audacity to criticize my work even though it has been used by my teachers as examples time. By the way she had asked me some questions, I deduced she had looked through some papers of mine. In short, I put 2 and 2 together and figured out her scheme. Why?

There is a great conflict of interests there. The profession says defend the murderer or rapist with the best defense possible, even if it is a lie and even if you know he did it. Can you pick and choose and choose only those people you really feel in your heart are innocent? Or do you justify it like they do on "The Practice" by saying they keep the system going and without the system, the innocent wouldn't get justice? That's a cop out to me.

Considering that one of the last things he did was to take a bath with Crito's assistance, was there a hidden meaning in his last words concerning what Crito should give Asclepius on his behalf? Would Socrates have made a good member of the US Congress in this regard?

Someone just posed a question to the atheists, asking what keeps them going if they think there's no afterlife or reward for this life. I'd like to turn the question around and pose it to theists here -- suppose you ARE right, and this life is just "a dream of a dream in the eyes of heaven". Why do you bother sticking around? If you've accepted god and are convinced you're already saved, why not take the most dangerous, life-threatening job you possibly can, and stop wearing your seatbelt, and start chain-smoking, and do all you can to end this pointless life so you can get to be with Jesus that much faster? Why don't you REJOICE when friends and family die, knowing that they're now in heaven with God?

And yes, I know that most religions consider suicide a mortal sin. I'm not suggesting that -- only that, if you're SURE you're saved, why go tiptoeing through life, avoiding risk and hanging on as long as you possibly can, if this life doesn't really matter in the long run?

My understanding is the Buddha rejected the notion of "self" only the existence as a whole. The concept of "I" was a major source of suffering in society. Can one actually interpret this as the disbelief of the eternal soul, Atman or whatever you want to call it...?

I asked for my family member's forgiveness, and my family member said yes. Also, I asked for ALLAH SWT's forgiveness as well for what I did to my family member. I don't know whether ALLAH SWT will forgive me or not, but I am hoping so.

Anyways, what should happen and what should I do?

Thanks for please answering this sincerely.

Don't you like to hear someone who follows a negative report with some straight forward talk expressing a God-given faith? You would be that person. Believe God for anything. Speak your faith and He will surely come through?
