I have heard many different answers from Muslims and its confusing. Some say that is his name and some say that, that is how you say God in Arabic.
If that is God in Araic then what is God's name? It can't be "God", that is just a title.

Do they not know the definition of what a Christian is? I mean seriously I get tired of heaing how I'm not a true Christian and that I'm going to hell and that I'm a Satanist or a "Mary Worshipper". What's up with that?

Matthew 3:16,17 clearly states that when Jesus Christ was baptized a voice from the heavens saying:“This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” God himself said Jesus Crist was his son. How can that be hard to understand? Clearly God and Jesus were seperate. No offense to anyone just trying to see what people who believe the Trinity have to say about this.

Matthew 3:16,17 16"After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

One judges christians by the evidence they present to us. If you are not like that then maybe YOU are an exception because "most" people judge you by what the majority of you have presented yourselves as. You are judged to be a violent orginization by the history of your church. You are judged to be hate filled because the leaders of your church spout hate. You judge everyone else and are suprised that you in turn are judged?
Why are you suprised by what others think when that is what we see from the majority that we meet?

Tithe - is an old word for tax. According to my Bible (Leviticus)the people of Israel were instructed to give the tribes of Levi a tenth of their tithes. The churches of today want 10% of everything when the Bible asks for a tenth of the taxes paid to the governor.

Don't hate me for the question...but do show me why....

Have Our Churches Misrepresented a Biblical Tithe....?

Ok, I don't know where it is, but in the bible it talks about Persia attacking Jerusalem in the end of times...and there would be a great army from the east...and something else. Does anyone know where this is?

I think because Iran just hates the US and Israel...and Russia is mad because of the whole missile defense system, and of course China's economy is probably going to go south because of all of these recalls going on...that it is coming true...

Ranking Conspiracy Theories: Ranking them, in the order of plausibility. Tell me what you think of my list.

Highly Plausible: CIA involvement in JFK's death. JFK was killed less than a month after he ordered the assassination of South Vietnam's President. I think he was killed because his drug abuse and philandering made him a national security and diplomatic danger to the US.

Plausible: FDR knew about Pearl Harbor. I don't think anyone in the govt or military knew that Pearl Harbor would be attacked on Dec. 7th. But they knew that imposing and embargo on Japan would lead to war. They also knew that the US people would not choose to enter WW2 unless they were attacked. So they chose to let the attack occur.

Plausible: UFOs exist. I think it's possible, maybe even likely, when you consider the thousands of people, including astronauts and pilots, who have claimed to have seen UFOs.

Laughable: Bush planned the WTC attacks. No evidence supports these theories.

I spent quite a time on here asking and answering questions over the summer, and will probably take a long hiatus now that school is starting back up. Looking into the perspectives of different people on this site has done a few things for me. Although I do not view the regulars as an accurate sample of the population, I've seen how different our race can be in terms of beliefs and views on reality. My own perspective has been further shaped and supported. I've read from some very wise answerers who reason for themselves, but far more from bigoted and close-minded individuals who willingly follow others mindlessly. Both have made somewhat of a difference on me. What about you?

I'm watching a program about the WTC conspiracy theorists. It's amazing how these people hold on to beliefs, despite all rational argument and proof to the contrary, and frightening how vehemently or even violently they hold onto those beliefs.

In my opinion, it's an example of "magical thinking", where logical thought is bypassed. It reminds me of religious thought, which can hold onto beliefs which are physically impossible. These people's beliefs become so strong they often form a basis of their life.

I think it's an interesting aspect of the human psyche. Whether you become consumed with the idea that George Bush blew up the Pentagon and WTC, or enraptured with the idea that Jesus rose from the dead. What do you think is behind this phenomenon?
