I'm doing a musical and one of the songs has a curse word in it. Should I still sing the song or tell them I don't feel right?

Acting is just acting. It's your meaning behind the word that gives it power. If you don't give it any power then it is just a word.

Really, its up to you. Think about the artistic value of leaving the song the way it is -- most songwriters intend for their work to stir up some kind of emotion. To rewrite the song, even one word in it, might possibly affect this.
Basically, do you think the "curse word" is gratuitous and unnecessary? Or do you think its appropriate given the mood and placement of the song? Think about those things, and make your decision.

I think you should do what you feel is right. Only you can decide that. But if you want my opinion, I don't think one curse word is going to send you to Hell. If you feel you need to, ask for repentance. I'm sure God understands that it's for a play, and that you aren't just using His name in vain for no reason at all.

If you are uncomfortable saying the word, then you should be able to just substitute a word that your more comfortable with. Go ahead and talk to them about it. Don't feel like you have to do something if you feel it's wrong.

Be honest with them and tell them that you feel uncomfortable saying it. You have a right not to say it.
