Or is it because they have morals and you don't?

Sheesh. Everyone has morals. You don't need to be christian to have them.

Christians seem to have such a persecution complex. Your comment is completely ignorant. One may have morals without being a Christian. How about someone that simply truly lives by the golden rule? They're bad people? Was Hitler a good person? He was a Christian. Over 90% of the people in prison identify themselves as Christian. How do you explain just those two examples of "bad" people that are also Christians? Will you say they're not true Christians? Are you not a false Christian if you by chance elect to judge them? Are you not judging people by implying non-Christians lack morals?

Why don't you take a good, HONEST look inwards and examine yourself. First off, I am a moderate, not liberal. I was raised a Christian and have renounced that way of life.

Tell me what you think it's like for non-christians that are not going around bashing Christianity? Do you think they could,in a respectful manner go somewhere with a bunch of Christians and say they don't agree with Christianity without having the Christians look down upon them? You most likely don't care, because in your eyes one way or another they are inferior to you. Most people in this Country are Christians, one can't say much of anything against Christianity without feeling the "wrath" of you Christians. It is a two sided feud, Christians overwhelmingly outnumbering we crazy non-believers.

There are PLENTY of non-christians that live life with a much greater sense of morality than Christians. Almost every Christian I have encountered is a huge hypocrite. What happened with David Vitter? I live in Louisiana, he preached sooooo much about good Christian morals, and how the sanctity of marriage is such a sacred thing. He got annoying, but he was exposed. Ted Haggard, the list is endless. People like that, and people that make ignorant statements like you are the reason you feel the "wrath," we're building your cross right now, oh poor persecuted holy one.

I'm a Christian, and have been liberal pretty much all of my life. First off, most liberals I know are very concerned with ethical issues. You'll find them at the forefront of many charitable endeavors and human rights campaigns, and they are quick to defend the rights of others, including people with whom they happen to disagree. To suggest, as a blanket statement, that liberals do not possess morals is erroneous. Check the humanitarian record of the so-called "liberal" denominations (Unitarian Universalists, the Episcopal Church, and many others) with that of most of the hardline Fundamentalist churches, and you'll likely see a very wide gap. The liberals you're bashing, both Christian and non-Christian, are usually out there trying to make a difference in the world, and not merely self-righteously preaching from a cozy armchair.

Yeah, we Christians wrote the book on Morals. Well, we borrowed the book that the Jews wrote on morals, well, we exchanged notes with the Jews who wrote the book based on the Persian book about morals. So there, atheists!
Seriously, Christian guy. Do you really have morals? Do you know what morals are? Are morals not doing something bad because it's wrong and hurtful, or are they not doing something bad because somebody 2000 years ago told you not to? Forget who said it, probably ol' Aristotle, "I have gained this by philosophy: that I do without being commanded what others do only from fear of the law."
Would you define morality for me? Why you think yours is superior to ours? Why yours is right and ours is wrong?

Or, what did liberals do to deserve the wrath of Christians? Try catching up on a little history.

Um... liberal means you work for change to improve society. A lot of people throw that word around acting like it means "evil sinners who try to destroy all morality and steal our souls". Throughout our history many many Christians were liberal, they tried to do things like abolish slavery and eliminate child labor. You're religion doesn't make you have a certain political stance.

Now to answer what i think you were trying to ask. Thinkgs are how they are because the people who wanted them this way had more passion and persistance than the people who didn't. So if you want to blame someone blame yourself for not fighting for your beliefs.

Serious answer - it is because some people feel that Christians are trying to take over the world. They want their religion in public schools, public court rooms, public parks and even within the medical practice.

You will notice that religions that do not have the mandate to "Save Souls" and "Spread the Good News with the Army of God" don't get hassled very much, do they? That's because we respect that they are living their own lives and not trying to take over.

Frankly, I think it's because we as Christians have lost the respect of the community because of our lack of morals. We are called to live to a higher standard, yet to do so in a loving, caring and honorable fashion. I'm sorry to say that many churches through the world, not all, have grown lax and lukewarm. I can't say I blame a non=believer when they say they don't want to live by "our" rules, because most of the time, we aren't living by them either.

I'm Christian, and I'm conservative, but i have yet to experience "the wrath of the liberals". Maybe because i don't go around making unfair generalizations like this one.

And these morals you say you have.....don't they say "judge not lest ye be judged?"

You want serious answers for a silly question. I'll have to check back and see how that worked out for you. People should be viewed as the individuals they are and not lumped together like this.

What liberal wrath would that be then? Oh, and you won't get serious answers from people with a question like this.
