let me say something how come if a white person wants their so called jesus to be white then he can be and no one can say anything about. but if jesus black its so big. first ose f all his real name is yeshua okay and he look at where yeshua was back then its africa first of all there no whites, aramic now is spoken by middle eastern people because they came to african countries and tried to take over, so they picked on the language. why do you guys hate on black people so much to the point where you try to hide the truth I 've answers where every one was saying jesus was not black. you do realise that black people lived in africa, and white people came and took as a slaves, living us to forget our original language. Check up afro asiatic language in wikipedia. It is the original language of africans and yeshua spoke it. And if you still think yeshua is white or middle eastern you really need to do more history.

I saw where you can buy tasers for like $20 on ebay and it made me wonder. I'm usually good at dodging the JWs and mormons but opened the door expecting UPS and it was Mr. Watchtower. After like a LONG 3 minutes I was like, ok how much do I need to give you to go away and he went into some long explation on why he does not need my money... If I had a taser, would I have got in trouble (ohio/USA) for zapping him to the ground? What voltage taser would you recommend? I see 100,000v-250K, 500K and 1 milion. I was thinking a 500K for JWs and a 100K model for kids selling stuff.

I think it takes faith that you will wake up when you go to sleep.
I think it takes faith to believe in your children.
I think it takes faith to believe in a loved one.
I think it takes faith in yourself to attend college.
I think all humans have faith in some form.

Does this mean that all humans are ignorant because they have faith?

I was raised Catholic and attended Mass with my family until I was 17. I haven't attended with any regularity since and am now 24. As I've spent time away from the church, I have grown more and more disillusioned with the routine of the church and its doctrines. Throughout my life, I've had a strong love and respect for nature and have questioned many of the "fire and brimstone" aspects of Christianity.

I have also begun to feel more empty spiritually in recent years and have recently set about trying to find fulfillment. I am drawn repeatedly to facets of what is termed Neo-paganism. I have always felt drawn to Ireland and Celtic lore (not intended to be disrespectful). I have no known Irish heritage, although 25% of my heritage is unknown. Is it likely that I am being drawn to the Celtic path of paganism by forces out of my control, or just wishful thinking of a connection to Ireland? I know this sounds pretty weird, but I wanted to know if anyone can relate. Thank you in advance.

I was rasied a catholic all my life. I have been struggling to believe there is a God though. I mean I have seen so many good people face troubles and so many good people die. If there was a god why would he make us pay for the sins of Adam and Eve? Why would he want us all to suffer because of what they did? It's not right I mean you see all these little children being faced with illnesses like cancer and it's a terrible thing. Why bring someone into this world only to have them suffer through a terrible illness and then unfortunately in the end some of them end up dying from it. If God has everyone's life planned out why would he do such a thing? How does he decide what suffering he wants each individual person to go through?

Before the insults start let me say that I thought she was pretty, sexy, nice figure, lovely temperament, thoughtful and caring.
But after ten years, has her memory not been milked enough? Is it the fault of tv and newspapers that we have to blame for this, it`s getting quite boring now.
I have known many, many women of the same ilk and there`s a lot more like her out there, but.....
Is it not about time we moved on? And saved her two sons from further harassment?

I recently posted a question about a church that encourages its congregation to marry very young. (see my other post) The church in question revolves around a “small core of women” that allege to have some sort of prophetic relationship with “God”. They use this “gift” to advise (in my opinion control) their congregation on matters ranging from who they should or should not marry to how they should invest their money. Further, according to what I could gather, this “supernatural” power has been “proven out” over and over again. For example, they predicted that my co-workers wife would have twins, even before the doctor.

Normally, I would just chalk this up as another fundamentalist cult, except for a conversation I had with one of the women (another co-worker) that they encouraged to get married at a young age. She noted that her grand-mother (she never gave me a straight answer on her grand-mother's affiliation with the church) was heavily into witchcraft.

Of course, like any sane person, I completely agree with that.

I was wondering however, the average height of men over the years in history is this:

2000 : 183 cm
1920: 172 cm
1720: 163 cm
1260: 156 cm

33,000 years ago the average height was only 129 cm.

(Sorry, I really don't know anything about the American measurement system, but trust me: 129cm is less than 182cm)

Of course, I know evolution is all nonsense, we all know that. But I truly wonder why God keeps making us taller. Anybody who can enlighten that for me?

When I was a teen, someone told me the bible & higher power, God, was created to keep the masses of people in order when the world was going chaotic-to give people something to fear. Honestly, it seemed to work okay, so if that is the truth, I'm not knocking it.

My husband & I got into a conversation about religion. The stories of the bible don't add up. Entire populations deriving from inbreeding of Noah's clan don't either.

My husband tries to argue the bible was created by witnesses, hence my subject line. Sure by the time Jesus came along people were protecting documents, but not 50,000 years ago. Yes, I think Jesus may have existed. He was probably a great man who made ppl believe. Immaculate conception is dodgy.

I understand it's about believing, but I don't want to believe a lie. I live my life as a good person with compassion, integrity, so I don't fear hell or worry about a heaven. That should be enough.
