One who would say that he or she has reached enlightenment has not attained it .

Enlightenment can not be truly defined just as being can not truly be defined.

One can strive to live in mindful awareness serving others in a beneficial manner so as to serve ones self with kindness, compassion and understanding.
One can strive to calms the ongoing dialog that seems ceaseless so as to learn to see the true nature of all things rather than ones personal and subjective view.

These ideals can be pursued by each no mater what religious view one hold or if one holds no religious view at all.

Loving kindness seems to be the way of all paths that lead to the top of the mountain.

May it all be well with you.

Yes. For me it is the realization that Jesus loves my worst enemy just like he does me. For me this is a most humbling thought and it keeps me from thinking I'm any holier than the next guy. It also has given me a genuine compassion for those that are not so likeable. I'm glad I became a Christian. I'm a much happier man and I love treating everyone with love and respect.

It is as simple as "Being" present, In the Present, As the Presence. What "IS" is always colored by the interpretations of mind and that "seems" to change what "IS" into what it should be or how it isn't right or wrong. Be Here Now.

I think there is only one person who as ever claimed to have found enlightenment while living; (Buddha) all others are still searching for it but then again they have never found the holy grail yet either.

A term used very loosely by people who dabble with fire. Illuminated masons . I saw a illuminated Demon once he was thrown in the lake of fire for three to four days and then let out to show me the pains. I think it was a warning to your illuminaty.
