Do you see any similarities in between then and now?

Anybody need an eye opener?

Atheists are always demanding proof of things, so I've decided to give them proof:

Suppose (for the sake of contradiction) we have a complete list of primes.
Call the primes in our finite list p1, p2, ..., pr.

Let P be any common multiple of these primes plus one (for example, P = p1p2...pr+1). Now P is either prime or it is not. If it is prime, then P is a prime that was not in our list.

If P is not prime, then it is divisible by some prime, call it p. Notice p can not be any of p1, p2, ..., pr, otherwise p would divide 1, which is impossible.
So this prime p is some prime that was not in our original list. Either way, the original list was incomplete.

Therefore there are infinitely many primes.

You can't tell me that's not a valid proof.

Can a Catholic Bishop be part of a government body or participate in politics? In times past Cardinals and Bishops were often the major political figures of a country, and there were seats for them specifically in councils.

I wonder if today if there is anywhere where they hold a traditional honored seat in a legislature or political body? Or if the case arose are they allowed to hypothetically?

Hello kids.
I live outside of India, but I love my country and my culture. In the last decade or so, I've noticed that hindustanis try so hard to be like the westeners. Why is that? We never dated before, why have guys and girls begun to do that sort of thing?
We used to dress moderately; now girls wear sleeveless shirts and short skirts. Most movies these days are ridiculous, because they try to imitate the western world and it looks horrible.( Remember the movies up till the 70s? they were awesome.) This is not how hindustanis are.
Don't call me old fashioned, because I'm not. We're Hindustanis, and we live a certain way. We're not supposed to try to be like the people from the west; its insulting to our culture.

Check this out. While sleeping I was haveing a dream sudenly the dream changed all at once and it was a vision. I looked at the vision trying to understand what it was this thing was trying to show me.It was a picture of maps with a man holding a poker tring to show me something on the maps. All of a sudden I became extreamlly dizzy and passed out. This is when it happend I awoke after passing out in the vision and a spiritual entity was hovering over were I lay. It took its hand and reached into my chest and spueezed my heart. Yes with his hand he squeezed my heart. He tried to pop it like a water baloon. It hurt and I felt every bit of it. I said I love Jesus It was a calm and quite tone that came out of my mouth and he left. This spirit was strong and I know for a fact that Jesus saved my soul again and that he lives in my heart. This is a true story ? Satan and his earthly kingdom suck?

I'm so sick of hearing: "Look around you . That's proof of God existence." WTF! That is not proof. You either get it or you don't and if you don't you're hopelessly slow. I understand that nobody can defintely prove God's existence or vice versa but c'mon (btw look up Russel's teapot if you're not familiar with it). I'm just curious to know why is it that you believe in God and can I PLEASE get some decent answers? Thanks.

I brought a playmobile nativity set in Malta - I am a bit OCD so have to throw things away if I don't use them in any one year - perfect gift to myself I think - my daughters got three bottles of wine each and a mini chuba chupp lolly for their phones so they were more than happy

I have a photo of myself and in it there are some round lights that seem to appear out of nothing, there is nothing for the to have reflected from and no lights shining to have made them, they are in random places around the picture, some bigger than others. My friend tells me they are orbs, I am a bit of scepic adn would like to know a bit more abouth them.

My younger brother (age 23) is struggling with growing up and becoming a man right now. He didn't finish high school, he has no respect for authority and it seems like he doesn't have a care in the world. He has a young daugther and he needs to step up a be a real father to her. He comes from a loving family. He is the baby. All his siblings went to college and have a career and take good care of their families, but he struggles. You can't say anything to him without it turning into an argument. You can tell he is ashamed of his actions, but he just repeats them constantly. We encouraged him to go get his GED and he did. We were so proud of him, but he still gets into so much trouble. He doesn't agree to counsiling and he doesn't think he is wrong . He still lives with my parents and is very disrespectful causing him and my father (53) to always go at it. They have put him out but he has no where to go so they let him back in. I want to try to help him before its to late.

It seems so many Christians still express racism. I know and have witnessed personally many Christians being racist toward African-Americans (forming the majority of my friends), Latinos, etc. I know someone including one member of my family from a strict Christian family who has expressed a few racist views toward Mexicans and said "Why do they put Spanish on McDonalds drive through now, it is ridiculous".

I am perfectly aware Christians are often hypocritical and just like everyone else, but to me personal sin is separate from how you treat others which is dictated by Jesus telling Christians to love their neighbor, and generally treat others with respect. What Would Jesus Do is the popular saying, obviously he would not be racist.

And for that matter, most Christians I know do not even attempt to act like Jesus in how they treat others, their just judgemental and self-centered. Their worried about their own salvation only, and keeping themselves out of hell.

Dont u think that religion messes everything up? Every war happens because of it, every fight happens because of it and now politics is all about it!! And all believe in same one God! Dont u think its unbelievable????
There should be just one religion that believes in God i mean there can be others too but if u believe in God, i mean isnt he the one???? there arenot Gods up above there?? and if there is i dont think they fight about it between eachother only we clever humans fight about it. its meaningless im so angry. there are more important things to deal with and people deal only with seomthing they dont even know if exists.

My best friend is hard-core Catholic. (I am also Catholic, but I never had a communion). She first chose her brother and his wife to be the god parents, but they were not married in the church, so they disqualify. Well she asked me to be a godmother to her first born, and of course I said yes. But didn't realized, I neeeded to be registered in the church?! Well she got so excited, I forgot to mention I'm not registered. I mean I was also baptized Catholic, does that count? My point is, I do not want to tell her, I can't. But can I get away with it? I mean will the church be all anal about this, will they verify If I really am registered? Should I tell her? But I'm excited about being the god parent to her daughter. She's been my bestfriend for the last 4 years.........and unlike me, she doesn't have any other friends. I know she can care less about me being registered, but her mom is a massively big *****, and will call her daughter satan if she doesn't do things by the book.

A christian is simply accused of preaching and he gets kicked out even though he denies it.

For some reason Evangelical christians think that Israel is their best friend even though you arent allow to try to convert people there and you get kicked out based simply on the accusation.
