Do you mean the idea that it was in fact really the Olympic that hit the iceberg having had her name changed to the Titanic at Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast whilst the Olympic and Titanic were both there before the Titanic's maiden voyage ?.
As I understand this idea has been investigated and is considered highly unlikely.

there was a TV prog on about the titanic recently showing film footage from deep water ROV's showing the ship, broken in half with a bl**dy great rip through the bottom of both hulls for about half the length of the ship. it was recognisable as the titanic, and damage and cause of sinking was clear. in the light of this, i can't see how any alleged conspiracy theory could hold water ( scuse the pun)

The sinking of the Titanic was a terrible accident, with many people who made mistakes that cost many lives.

There is no proof of anything like that with the Titanic and if there was (highly unlikely) then wouldn't of someone found it and told it to the world by now?

If you believe in conspiracies then why not? Just take a moment to think who stood to gain. The owners? - I don't think so; the passengers? - probably not; the competition? - unlikely as they had to pick up the bits to improve safety. Maybe it was the society to protect the meaning of the DaVinci code that was about to be revealed as............................, or even the dark lord Vol oops "he who must not be named"

I do not see any historical importance to this theory.
In other words, who cares?
