I know that this is R & S, but this is where I am always at. Anyway, I just saw where one of you, ("daughter" to be exact), has got tons and tons of points, like over 15000, but she doesn't have a badge thingy. What is with that? Don't all of you who get a lot of points get "Top Contributor" badges? If not, why?

I truly appreciate all of you who are answering this question. I wasn't asking in hopes of getting one, I was asking because that girl had so many points and wasn't consider a "top contributor". I think that those of you who are high point people deserve a little acolade.

although I dont have those points any more .. i did have
but the top contributers badge is for constant contributions to the forum on a weekly basis
so those without the badge but with many points have perhaps collected the points over a longer period of time without constant input
and even if you have the badge , you can loose it if you dont come on as much

I thought we got the badge for sleeping with the #1 Top Contributor. Was someone pulling my leg?

Mark, whoever told you to put periods in the middle of your sentences was either kidding you or a really really bad teacher. They make your posts look foolish.

I do not know how they determine that - I'm guessing on percentage of best answers. Personally, I don't do it for the points and don't want an orange badge as it really means nothing to me.

POINTS..... are Just for... Answering Questions!

The TOP CONTRIBUTOR.... is for those.... That have Selected to Answer... CERTAIN QUESTION.... like those that HAVE NO RESPONSES... and then GET BEST ANSWER.... for.... "the Ratio".... of Questions Answered = to = Best Answer!

YOU... can use the SAME TRICK.... if you want ONE?

THE.... " TOP CONTRIBUTOR ".... is... Only A Silly... BADGE that some people.... Think Important? " NOT ! "

Thanks, RR

badges are given monthly to those who have the higher numbers of questions and answers. you can have a badge one month, but loose it the next.

lots of points doesn't mean you get a badge.

the TC badge is given to you if you have more than 10% of best answers in one category

Pardon my present ignorance of the point; but why does it matter (if one is a 'top contributor')?

I think you have to have the majority of points in a specific category.
I don't really know, maybe Pangel is right.

I will never get one because I don't care to give serious politically correct answers to silly questions.
