Did you do the Twist? How well do you rate yourself on a scale of 1-10 , 10 being queen or king of the dance floor.

You young folks might not relate this this one...lol

Dri, if you can laugh at yourself you are a great human being.

Oh I rate myself at about 5 way back then because I was too shy to really dance much. Now I would say 7 because I really dont care what others think. hehe

I sure did and it cost my grandpa a quarter everytime he asked me to twist! I was not in school just yet but, I watched American Bandstand and I was good! lol

Wonderful memories and as for the rating...who knows but my grandparents? I just gave it my all!

I used to do the twist. I was only about 7 but I can remember my parents thinking it was the coolest thing since sliced bread (probably cause it was a dance almost anyone could do). I'd rate myself about 7 or 8 on the dance floor. The older I get, the more comfortable I feel just being myself.

When I was still able to twist my body in two different directions at once, and not pay for it with a slipped disc, I was very, VERY good at the twist! I was one of those ones that could twist on one leg, while kicking the other out in a fancy "gotcha", then twisting down to the floor and back up again, doing a 360 pirouette jump in the middle of a twist, twist while bumping hips with a partner, who was also twisting...on and on and on....I guess I was definitely a 10!

Considering that I was only 12 years old at the time, and very athletic, and it has been downhill ever since--if I tried twisting now I'd end up in bed for two weeks on massive doses of pain killer.

A year and a half ago I was voted Queen of our "Senior Prom" in the Senior apt complex I live in. So I would say I am a 7 on the dance floor. I can't dance as well as I use to. Getting older is not always so good.
