I saw a special on Dateline about how child molesters were drawn to a house where supposedly a young girl (about 12 or 13 years old) was waiting to provide men with sexual pleasure.

This does not surprise me at all. This old world gets more wicked everyday.

However, what did strike me as odd was the PROMINENT members of society that showed up at the house.

I saw doctors, teachers, rabbis, lawyers, engineers, etc.

In other words, I expected to see ordinary people or the ghetto crowd or thugs, etc.

To my BIG surprise, the professional people who DAILY gossip and downgrade the ghetto areas and thugs, were the ones seeking to molest a young girl(s).

Honestly, what do you say about our educated, professionals after watching that Dateline special?

Honestly.

some scriptures read that god wills for all men to be saved, that with love prophecies will cease, tongues will be stilled. That he has the power to save to the uttermost, and that with god all things are possible.

Others read that there is a certain sin that will not be forgiven, and that we should not pray for.

How can we define the line between these two, how can we recognize who can be saved and who cant. He says things like not to judge others and to always forgive.

How can I tell if I am beyound gods love and mercy, if I am eternally damaged or seperated from him?

I have noticed the increase of non-denominational churches and the decrease of attendance at some old line churches like Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist etc. I have attended some of these new churches (like Vineyard, or Friendship Church etc) and to tell you the truth I really don't see the attraction. Instead of a sanctuary they have an auditorium. Instead of a choir they have staged entertainment. No communion, no benediction. And they are really big with no way to really get to know the pastor, and speaking of pastors, they have like 5 or 6 of them.
I don't get it. Is this the wave of the future of Christianity in America? But don't get me wrong, these places are full of people because they have something to offer. But for me, it's just not like church.

I am a completely devoted Christian & I believe in God fully. But right now I'm wondering how this could happen. My Grandpa (whom I loved like my father) died when I was 5. Now his wife is living alone with a bad case of alheimzers (I dont know if I spelled i right, but its pronounced all-timers) And it gets worse everyday. I also have 2 great-grandparent. One is 95 & the other is 97. They are showing their age & are also slowly fading. I was just wondering...how could God let the people I thought of as firm rocks to support me slowly die away. Now it's like I have to treat them as children rather than older adults. I'm scared that I'm going to lose them all at the same time. I can't handle losing 3 people I love so much all at once. It would be traumatic & depressing. I've prayed for God to help them live as long as possible. I just don't know what to do. Do I believe God has a reason for this? I feel like my faith in God is slipping!! Help!!

I wonder how you can claim both. Christianity is mono theistic and Wicca polytheistic. Wicca has no sin and Jesus was born . died and rose from the dead to save sinners.

I am not trying to pick onl anyone, just wondering how you justify it.

Personally I was Christian and embraced Christianity with all my heart, now I am Wiccan and embrace that with all my heart.

I still have fond memories about being a Christian, but have no desire to go back or to try and be both.

I ask because to me it is not possible to be both.

Personally Wicca freed me from the bondage of Christianity.

Christians this is not for you. Refrain from any rude remarks.
