Yeah! I hate that. People of color used to be dicriminated against, but now it's white people who are taking the beating. Quite frankly, I don't think it's fair. Also, TV shows always show white people being mean, like in That's SO Raven, but sometimes white people are turned down jobs because they're "Nerdy." I agree with you, and thanks for helping me realize that. =]

It all depends on if you genuinely are a certain way, or if you are acting a certain way. I had a friend that "acted black" as a way to get on her parents nerves. I don't think it is fair to say that blacks can sing better....different perhaps....but not better. I think you are showing a preference here by saying "some ethnicity's are better than others at certain things such as blacks are known to sing and do other things.
Perhaps that is the problem.

I believe you are generalizing and that can be as bad as people who say the things you dislike. There is no race that sings better, plays sports better, does anything better than any other race or person who wants to put their talent and heart and soul into what they want. That is the message that MLK was trying to get across when he wanted equality. We are all the same and have the same abilities to do what we want and achieve if we are willing to work for it. Generalization does nothing but pigeon hole people into slots of achievability. Don't get angry....achieve.

here's the point: the color doesn't affect your capability to do stuff...that's a clear statement...but in some cases a certain race does something better than your race and that's a fact...but it doesn't mean that you can't actually do it...
Here's an example:
Tyrese is very good at rapping...Lee Fei is good too...In Tyrese's neigborhood 95% of the people is good at rapping..In Lee Fei's hood only 25% is good at rapping... Both race here is good at rapping but Tyrese race is more dominant when it comes to rapping but both races can rap right?
Another example:
Boxing match...Filipino vs. Mexican
The Filipino guy won and the Mexican guy lost...they're both good at boxing...it's just that the Mexican guy lost...The Filipino guy won not because he's Filipino..he won because he worked hard...
My point is every race can do stuff both well but we have to admit that race kind of affects and sometimes doesn't affect the outcome at all..

If you check the history of rap, one of the first "rap" songs was sung by a white woman, I believe it was Blondie? Go figure!

You are who you are! Be yourself. Once you are comfortable with who you are, the comments that others make wont mean anything.
