Midnight is the "witching hour" and is a time believed to be best for some spell casting and ritual work. I actually do alot of my rituals at midnight tho mine is partly to do with having 4 kids and it's the only alone time I have. It is also associated with work with the fae because it is an "in between" or a "tween time". ( not quite night or day)
