We all know that teens and adults alike suffer from depression and sadness in our world. but in society, a poll says that 52 percent of girls and boys think therapy is "no big deal" and 11 percent actually said, "its kind of cool". Teens are beggining to follow the emo trend, a rising way of life. now, our culture is taking emo/depression far more than a slice of culture- its becoming a new mainstream way of life, actually making things like depression meds and cutting trendy. what do you think could help stop this? what do you think about this?

(A):--Did he have such a blast doing it the first time, he wanted to do a sequel ?

(D):--Was he just having a good ol' time testing Noah's boat building skills?

(E):--Was it simply time to inventory all his creatures and cut down on overstocking obsolete models?

I ask this because I am amazed at the abuse I see on answers , both ways. Are we not supposed to be friends or is that all just politics.
I am a Brit and see many differences between our cultures but would never say I dislike all Americans.Can people just accept the differences.

I can follow along by pattern, knowing the Mass as well as I do from growing up Catholic. I happen to be listening to the Mass in Polish. I have some comprehension of Russian and Serb, and I can distinguish some words whose common roots help me relate the meaning.

Now I'm listening to the blessing of the Sacraments for the Mass by radio. I know that this is not the same as going physically to a Mass, but certain disabilities and circumstances complicate my attending Mass personally.

Is there any spiritual benefit to listening, if maybe I recall the meaning of the Mass by my memory of it in other languages-- English, Spanish, French, and Latin? Where can I get a missal in Polish, so I can learn the Mass in Polish? Is there a book with the Polish on one page, and the Latin or the English on the opposite page?

Thank you. Djenku je.

I am used of eating rice with a spoon, but my aunt and cousins disagree with it and tell me to use a fork. Is a fork the more proper way? I do not prefer using a fork due to the fact that while utilising a spoon, you can scoop up more rice.

Where a deist is someone who seeks to find god through science, patterns etc.

I'm not refering to a particular god, certainly not to a god anwered to by any religion.

All opinions gratefully accepted, all abuse and childish spoutings frowned upon.

God's knowledge of the germ theory,advanced zoology, advanced marine biology, cloning, genetic engineering, trans genetics, advanced disease prevention through surface contact, the spread of airborne diseases, contagious skin diseases, convalescence of women after childbirth,classification of land animals by their internal digestive system and even or odd number of toes,knowledge of every insect on earth,human health and nutrition,the health hazards of green mold and mildew on clothing and on walls of houses, sexually transmitted diseases, the health hazards of human inbreeding, the human only health benifits of cooking our food, disease prevention by circumcision of the human male penis, plus many more I'll leave out right now because I'm the only one in the world that knows it. Isn't this enough scientific proof of pre- human scientific knowledge belonging to a non-human scientific mind of a "Intellegent Designer" who the world calls "God"? (Looks like this debate is over).

Here are two courtesy of Emo Phillips:

When I was a kid, I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I
realized that the Lord, in his wisdom, didn't work that way. So I just stole
one and asked him to forgive me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge,
about to jump off. So I ran over and said "stop! don't do it!"
"Why shouldn't I?" he said.
I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!"
He said, "Like what?"
I said, "Well...are you religious or atheist?"
He said, "Religious."
I said, "Me too! Are you Christian or Buddhist?"
He said, "Christian."
I said, "Me too! Are you Catholic or Protestant?"
He said, "Protestant."
I said, "Me too! Are you Episcopalian or Baptist?"
He said, "Baptist!"
I said, "Wow! Me too! Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord?"
He said, "Baptist Church of God!"
I said, "Me too! Are you original Baptist Church of God, or are you Reformed
Baptist Church of God?"
He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God!"
I said, "Me too! Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1879,
or Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915?"
He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God, reformation of 1915!"
I said, "Die, heretic scum", and pushed him off.
How are atheists supposed to give a mature answer to a theist whose question just assumes that God exists? It's like someone asking you "How many elves do you think Santa Claus has doing slave labour all year round? Mature answers only please".
That is the number of times Jesus claimed to be God. It's also the number of times he talked about the Trinity. It's the number of times he said giving to the poor makes them dependent. It's also the number of times he spoke English, said democracy was the only way to govern. It is how many times he said you should pray to him. It is how many times he said you should complain about taxes, welfare and immigrants. It's how many times he talked about homosexuals. It's how many times he talked about church attendence. It's the number of times he said life begins at conception, that abortion is murder, and that courtrooms should have the ten commandments in them. It's the number of times he said there should be prayer in schools. It's the number of times he said the pledge of allegiance.
Wow...zero is a pretty handy number. Or can anyone dispute those things?
Ok well my friend was sleeping over. (we will call her allie) and we were chilling on the sofa. She dozed off and I was still awake. Then out of nowhere (she has NO HISTORY OF INSOMNIA OR SLEEPWALKING) she jerked her head up and her eyes were bugging out. She looked at me very funny, like she was trying to tell me something. And she said something really fast. I couldn't understand what she was saying it was like didyoudodattoojeffy really really fast. I don't know. My house has a reputation of being "haunted". Hers does too. Could it have something to do with that? Please help - we can't figure this out.
Please, only serious questions...
This is a serious question for serious responses please. I would like to hear from church folks who have a role in their church and are paid for their services- such as musician, clerk, custodian, etc. I have a problem 'asking' the pastor for a raise. I am a musician and have been for 16 years. The first 15 I was paid $500 per month to play the piano, sing, teach songs to the choir, be available for other services of the church, and outside visitation, prayer, etc. Since then, I have received one raise of $100. So, for 14 years this is the salary I have made. I can almost count on one hand the times I have missed. I have never 'officially' taken a vacation, my expectations have increased (we go out to serve more, when members of the choir do not show up, I sing their lead and backgrounds, I lead (all the time), I arrange music, write; play for funerals, weddings, arrange workshops, play for revivals (this also conicides with my regular work). The problem is I am ashamed to ask.
