I've seen a lot of questions here about Islam, and I've seen a lot of people who aren't Muslims answering.

I'm from Saudi Arabia, I'm an Islamic guider, and I would like to answer any questions you may have, as well as I possibly can.

Please, only serious questions...

Why do you believe Islam out of all the other religions

I have a question that hasn't been answered to my satisfaction yet.

Even when a war is at least partially justified, many Christians publicly cry out stating that it is wrong to kill. When someone like David Koresh mis-uses religion, Christians as a whole speak out to clarify that that person is an extremist.

Why have we not heard a unified voice from Muslims in the Middle East clarifying that Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda and the other groups listed below--as well as others--do not represent mainstream Muslim thought?

I saw an American born woman of Middle East descent who is a reporter. She wanted to show that most Mulsims do not support extreme thoughts. So, she went to the Middle East and spent a week with a high school age girl there. Everything was fine the entire week. In the last interview, she asked, "Would you die for Islam? Would you be a suicide bomber?" Obviously, she wanted to lay to rest concerns by having the girl say no. The girl said yes, she would. That it would be an honor to do so and that her school, her family and her community teaches her that to do so is more than honorable. It is a way to heaven.

I realize that what I see and read is a one sided, biased account. But, I am concerned that there are so many violent Islamic organizations that are able to make their voices heard, yet I haven't heard one united voice from the Middle East saying that such violence is wrong, and a mis-interpretation of a peaceful religion.

Is there a unified Muslim Middle East voice against violence and terrorism? If so, how many people are represented? Why isn't it heard more often? (The Internet is a great way to make themselves heard, if they exist).

If there isn't a unified voice, what should a United States citizen such as myself conclude from that?

several.

1. From what I understand, the Koran has additional scripture added by a council AFTER the life of Mohammed. (Bible has similar issues). These tend to be more restrictive, particularly towards women. Are these part of the Koran, or supplimental documents?

2. I understand that the Koran called Christians 'people of the book' and acknowledged the holy family, particularly Mary. What is her role in the Koran.

3. I've heard that early Islam was the most tolerant religon of any as far as other faiths. What happened?

4. Is there any room for growth in the Koran? I mean, the Koran, like the bible have passages that relate to the time in which they were written. Does Islam allow the individual to use common sense in selecting out those passages that were heavily shaded by their times (thus allowing progress in religous thinking?).

FancyThat..I like to answer this question.
1. there is no such thing as an addition to Quran after the life Of Prophet Muhammad.

2. In Qur'an, Mary is the mother of Prohet Jesus. In Islam Jesus is just a prophet, not son of a God. With Allah power, Mary pregnant even she was not married.

3. Nowaday muslim are far from the true Islamic teaching. It was sad to see when muslim does not abide the rule and cause Islam to being hated and and misunderstood. Howerver, in Qur'an this time have been predicted where there will come a time many muslim will fall, and only small portion will have strong faith and follow the Islamic way of life. when that time come, the end of the world will be near.

4. there will be no addition in Qur'an. The content are sufficient enough to cover all aspect of life until the end of world. However, certain people that have good knowledge in Islam (Ulama), will tranlate the rule and gide in the quran for modern situation, but they cannot add and alter the content. every decision must based from Qur'an.

To Noah;
muslim can go to every country...as long as they can follow Islamic teaching without any harm. thats why you can see there are many muslim in America, Eupore, Africa...

Stars7s;
there are reason in allowing male to married more than 1, up to 4. first during the history of war when many soldier die, there are many widow that needs to be take care of. so with this rule, male can take care of this helpless woman by giveng food, and shelter. Second is more common, male like sex rite? sometime there is not enough with only one woman, so that why by allowing this, illegal sexual intercouse can be reduced. We do not want so many SOB in our society. and it better for the wife to know that his husband have other wife than being cheated. And for you ask why woman cannot have more husband, well the answer is easy...if the child was born...which family name will the child have?

Angeltess...
for us muslim prophet jesus word is true, however...old testament have been edited (so it is word of another peoples, not prophet himself) and became the new testament. Prophet Muhamad uses the original jesus teaching and continued it with God teaching for Islam, that's why we called old cristianity as the people of the book.
For your second questions, I advice to understand the Quran and U will understand why the Jew should be fooled like that. Jew always causing trouble to previous prophet like Abraham, Moses...list continued. FYI, there something we cannot understan, only The Almighty know what His doing.

Why aren't the Laws of Moses written out the same way in the Quran as in The Torah and The Bible? They are exactly written in the modern scientific text just the way God is speaking them coming out of His mouth in The Torah, The Bible and The Dead Sea Scrolls but in the Quran you can tell it is being vaguely explained in ancient human language.

Where are the "Fruits" of the Spirit of God? If Islam is the truth of God, then where are the blessings of God? Why are Islamic nations poor and oppressed? I am comparing them to Christian nations and nations who are friendly to Israel.
Where are the great scientific discoveries and humanitarian aid coming from Islam?

Good question!

I'd like to know why so many Muslims (when asked) say that non-muslims are free to live and worship any religion they like in Saudi, but government and tourist websites say that is not the case?

Also, what would happen if you freely converted to another religion or became atheist or agnostic?

Lastly, why?

Just why?

Thanks,

Salaama, in Janaat according to Islamic thought will we recognize each other IE family members and friends, or will we be void of any memory from our earthly abode, and live in tranquility for ever.

I think we will not remember earthly memory, in case our loved ones are in hell suffering, I also know there is no carnal desire in heaven, so all those people think they are gonna get their leg up sorry guys.

Could you please clarify theses points for me.

wa salaam
