Ok well my friend was sleeping over. (we will call her allie) and we were chilling on the sofa. She dozed off and I was still awake. Then out of nowhere (she has NO HISTORY OF INSOMNIA OR SLEEPWALKING) she jerked her head up and her eyes were bugging out. She looked at me very funny, like she was trying to tell me something. And she said something really fast. I couldn't understand what she was saying it was like didyoudodattoojeffy really really fast. I don't know. My house has a reputation of being "haunted". Hers does too. Could it have something to do with that? Please help - we can't figure this out.

This is NOT sleepwalking/talking I sleep over with this friend ALL THE TIME. She does not sleep walk/talk. I also have sleepwalkers/talkers in my family so I no that this is nothing like that.

first off ask her if she remembers anything. she may remember it as a dream or a memory that she can't put time or a place to. if she does remember then get her to repeat what she said over and over either out load or in her head. in some cases that joggs a subconcious memory of what the spirit was trying to communicate accross. if she can't remember then get her to stay the night again and do exactly the same as you did last time. record it if you want onto a dictaphone or camera and see if it happens again. also stay the night at hers, this might not be the first time that it's happened to her and she might not realise it.if her house really is haunted and it happens again at hers then she might have some psychic ability. if that's the case then she might've seen or heard things that other people couldn't, and because she didn't know what it was and nobody believed her then she would've dismissed it which would explain why this only happens when she's asleep. repressing a pshychic ability can sometimes cause it to act out in the subconcious if the external enviroment is strong enough to trigger it, i.e influence that isn't inside her head such as imagination. lastly, find out the history of the place. that helps a lot with cases of hauntings and possetions. if what you typed down is exactly as you heard it then i'm interpereting it as 'did you do dat too jeffy'. this might be a person who was involved with the spirit before it's body died.

apart from that the only thing i can think of is that she's got psychotic split personality... but that's happened with my brother before (although he was talking latin when the witching hour started a couple of hallowenes ago) and it scared the hell outta me, so i can say that i believe you, and it aint nice to be the only person to see it and remember it. gives you a sense of detatchment witnessing something that nobody else has...

This really does sound like an intense dream. Insomnia or sleepwalking doesn't necessarily have to be part of her history for it to happen. Just a stressful time in a persons life can cause it, even in cases without a history of it. Dreams run on a very different time line than our waking life. Literally a split second of real time can give you hours of situations in dream-time. Her words being so dang fast were most likely very normal and possibly even very slow in her dream.

Before anyone gets a knot in their works, I do believe the spirit world can communicate though people but I also believe it is incredibly rare. I would look into a more plausible explanation before leaping to that.

I would look into dreams, past life regressions and scientific studies in the realm of possessions (other possible explanations) for the lists of reasons a person might seem possessed before that sort of thing before passing it off as a possession.

Having grown up in a haunted house, I was plagued with sleep disturbances, due mostly to anxiety. I would open my eyes, speak gibberish, then usually go back to sleep. I did quite a bit of sleepwalking and had night terrors for years. It doesn't sound like possession, and earthbounds don't possess. (Dark elementals do.) She could have mediumistic abilities and was communicating a message, but it just doesn't "feel" like a case of possession.

He he, I've got this funny impression of your friend jerking her head up and puking green slime all over the place. Someone may be trying to tell you something. Look out over the next few weeks if anything strange happens,

who's jeffrey? Did you do that to Jeffrey? You didn't say if you know a Jeffrey and what happened to him and who did it. That might have something to do with the reason your friend was acting strange.

You are obviously watching too many horror movies but, regardless of that, there is a strong chance that your friend may be epileptic.
