Why does Obama refer to himself as black when he is half-black and half-white? Is his white half less important? Does he do it to separate himself from the other candidates, "Obama, he is the black candidate"? If he referred to himself as white, people would say he is forgetting his black heritage. But isn't he forgetting his white heritage? Or in today's PC world that is OK?

I can't vote for a person who isn't honest about his own race. If he is "conviently black" since it suits his purpose will he be "conviently....(fill in the blank)" to suit his purpose as president?

Come clean Obama, tell us you are half-black and half-white, or biracial, or whatever the PC term for today is. If you can't be honest with yourself and what you race is, how can you be honest with the American people?

What are the five most annoying things that you can think of about the female species? Please think carefully and try to avoid sexist comments (how is that possible - well you know - keep it clean or I'll have to flag your response!!). I'll kick it off - give you some ideas!!:

1) Unpredictability

2) Materialistic aspect (ie bloody shopping)

3) Nonsensical arguements

4) Trying to affirm their femininity by attacking/denying masculinity

5) Ability to talk forever....

What cannotes giving an intimidating stare/ glare?

Would someone with almond shape eyes, slanted eyes, be capable of giving an intimidating glare, esp since the media has construed more slanted eyes as seemingly menacing?

No racist answers.

I think its odd how archeologist have found ancient cave paintings from the Sumers, they have found Neoanderthal skulls, ancient cities of Troy that has been built over and over nine times, gold artifacts from around 2100 BCE, Sparta, cities of the Hittites, Rosetteta stone, even the colosseum is still standing.I'm basically saying nature has a way of preserving things, and humans have a way of finding things. But what has NOT been preserved and what we have NOT found is anything material relating to the Bible. And the only logical answer for this is that it in fact never happened!

Christian
DEFINITION:- a person created by God, but born a sinner into a world of sin, then getting saved by the grace of God and by accepting it getting delivered from the day to day questions, worries ,hardships, and stresses of life through hope, faith, trust and total dependance on the Lord ...and also getting delivered from the coming unreversable removal of the devil and his sinful Kingdom.

:that person then leaving the comfort of their lives (movies and parties etc.) to devote their lives into boldly, lovingly and powerfully working hard to show other fallen human beings (living comfortable and uncomfortable) the plan of God's love to accept the price at which they were bought from the devil's Kingdom thereby becoming children of God once again regardless of their sins and personal experiences

;therefore they get delivered from the day to day worries of life and death on this planeth through hope and faith for the undeserved but free promises of God (unimaginable life!)

So basically, I've been friends with this guy for a year now, but I always had this crush on him from the start. He probably knows I'm not the exact paragon of masculinity, but it's cool and he doesn't mind. Problem is though, to him I'm a great friend, but to me, well, that's another story.

So what do I do? A barrel roll?

Great Knowledge of Science, Evolution, Technology, but isn't really the reverse??? If Atheists really understood what is written in the Bible what is said by the Prophets, Jesus Christ and understand GOD's timeline is not the timeline they understand from a mere human' beings understanding, then they would understand that GOD is so beyond thier own comprehension, and that is why they reject it?

I read Atheists spouting off here *Oh folks have always been preaching the End of the World-Okay so what? If you understood Daniels' 70 weeks, The Book of Ezekiel, The Book of ACTS, the Book of John the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the final chapter of Revelation then you could make a educated statement, but none of you have a clue about those books..

The World has been ending since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden, what makes it real today is that Israel became a nation in1948 and the Parable of the Fig Tree Jesus spoke of.. Are you Bible inept?

I had asked questions and got some rude responses. I know that I have sinned just like everyone else, but I'm trying to do the right things. I haven't had my confirmation just yet, I've been through two divorces, I'm trying to get my life on track especially with my own Church, but every time I ask another Catholic a question, I get a couple of people who answer honestly, but the other Catholics act so high and mighty, "Oh you shouldn't have had kids before marriage, the church doesn't recognize your marriage" "You shouldn't do this or that..."

I know I have done some stupid things, but that's why I came to you guys, so I can find the right direction, not be ridiculed because I've messed up in the past. Who hasn't messed up? Who of you hasn't sinned? Why do you want people coming into this religion and then bash them because of their past?

I love God, Holy Spirit, & Jesus. Why then do you treat me like I'm a total out cast? I'm trying to do the right things & you push me away.

And I don't mean believe in one's self as in believe that you can accomplish things, I mean believe in your own existence.
I can prove this using "logic" which is different from logic because logic has a set of rules whereas I can just make up "logic" as I go along. I am justified in doing this because "logic" is God's tool, whereas logic is the devil's tool.
If you atheists used "logic" instead of logic you would discover that you don't actually believe that you exist, and here's why.

People are irreducibly complex, therefore they could only have been created by God.
You don't believe in God, so you don't believe in anything that could have created humans.
So you don't believe that humans were created.
If something doesn't get created it doesn't exist.
So you don't believe that humans exist.
But you are a human, so you don't believe that you exist.
Therefore, atheists cannot believe that they exist.
Q.E.D. (That's latin for "quiescently eschewing deduction," i.e. ignoring logic)

I had an argument with my mom on this topic. I believe fasting is sacrificing your eating to God. It is almost saying on a hot summer day, i wont use the AC for you God, or even the way the way ol' school people used to do it, as in having a cow or any other animal for sacrifice. I thought Jesus was the "ultimate sacrifice"?
My mom defense was that jesus did it so we should too, which isnt a strong point.
I know i might be wrong on this

Background: Every year my mom has a family get-together with all her kids, grandkids, etc. For the last 4 years my brother hasn't gone. He says he'll be there and not shown up. Although it's bugged her, my mom won't say anything to him because she knows he won't tell her the reason he's not going. In the past 11 months, my sis-in-law has lost a daughter and been diagnosed with a disease that has a terrible prognosis.
She told me but made me promise not to tell my mom. The problem is, my mom wants to call sis-in-law and confront her about not coming to the family event. I told her that considering what she's been thru, she doesn't need the added stress. My mom knows she's sick but not full picture.
I have honored my sis-inlaw's request but I'm afraid my mom (who isn't known for her sensitivity) will regret confronting her. She may not even make it to Christmas with the diagnosis she's been given and I'm sure my mom will regret laying this guilt trip on her. Please, no rude answers.

And if you don't agree with it (It's not scripture or official doctrine) how can you follow a prophet who makes such serious doctrinal errors?

Brigham Young also credited Joseph Smith with the responsibility of where mankind will reside following the resurrection. In his article entitled "Joseph Smith Among the Prophets" printed in the June 1994 issue of the Ensign magazine, BYU professor Robert L. Millet quoted Brigham Young who, in 1859, stated, "From the day that the priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding up things of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are—I with you and you with me. I cannot go there without his consent." This quote can also be found in the LDS Church manual entitled Search These Commandments (1984, pg. 133) as well as in the Journal of Discourses (7:289).
